The Hemel Hempstead branch has been part of the Medivet group since 2005. Medivet Hemel Hempstead is managed by Romeo Tonchev who became a partner in January 2010. Since then the practice has grown considerably and Romeo now has the assistance of Veterinary Surgeon Craig Horton.

The staff at Hemel Hempstead all have pets of their own so understand the need to deliver the best possible veterinary care, backed up by a personal and caring attitude. They are dedicated to providing a sympathetic, friendly and reassuring environment.

CONSULTATIONS
All our veterinary consultations are 15 minutes long. This ensures we have the time to examine your pet thoroughly and discuss his or her complaint in detail. We can arrange consultations throughout the day to make your visit to us as convenient as possible and will try to ensure that you see the vet of your choice to give good continuity of care. Within the Medivet group there is a large team of veterinary surgeons which means that multiple specialities and skills can be called upon very quickly. Patients can be referred internally and externally where appropriate. We operate an appointment system (except in the case of an emergency which of course would be seen as a priority). Therefore, we would ask you call to make an appointment first. As with all our branches, appointments are intended as a rough guide. In the interests of our patients, we may wish to give additional time to individual consultations. This may result in brief delays but all our clients will benefit from this by their pet receiving our fullest attention to their requirements.

SURGICAL PROCEDURES
If your pet requires a surgical procedure or diagnostic tests, we can be highly flexible, arranging the day and vet to suit you. We are happy to give estimates for any procedure that your pet may need. Safety is of the highest importance to the team at Medivet Hemel, and to achieve this we use gold standard anaesthesia (includes isofluorane), with a dedicated and trained member of nursing staff to monitor your pet using modern equipment and veterinary supervision. We care, as you care, for your pet.

Medivet Hemel Hempstead is a spacious practice is equipped to deal with all cases it receives, with hospital standard equipment and 24 hour care available by transferring animals to our Watford branch where necessary. Medivet Watford also provides out of hours care for our patients at night and on weekends, 365 days a year.

We are linked to all other Medivet branches via computerised ADSL connections, a technology allowing permanent high speed links thereby allowing records to be accessed by other branches at all times, including times when Hemel Hempstead is closed. Medivet is dedicated to making use of the most modern computer hardware, software and communications in providing excellence in record keeping and transfer of clinical information within the group.

The branch also offers a range of Hills’ Science Plan premium diets and a variety of pet products as well as advice on any pet-related issue.
