Medivet Brampton

Here at Ouse Valley Veterinary Surgery we are pleased to welcome all sorts of pets, from the usual dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents to the slightly less common tortoises, reptiles and birds, including ever more popular backyard chickens. We carry out most of our work on site within the practice and can offer a range of services including consultations, surgery (minor and advanced), dentistry, x-ray, ultrasound and same day lab results (where applicable). If more specialised care is needed we can refer patients to one of our nearby branches, and we have access to state of the art services for your pet such as MRI, CT and endoscopy.

Jessica MercerJessica Mercer - Head Veterinary Surgeon

I have always wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember.  I qualified from Cambridge Vet School in 2008, and have been working for Medivet ever since.  I started working full-time at Brampton in 2012.  I enjoy seeing a wide variety of pets and diseases every day, and have a particular interest in feline medicine and rabbit medicine.  Outside work I enjoy hill walking and a bit of gardening.  I currently have one mischievous cat called Alex.

Ouse Valley Veterinary Surgery is located in a converted Victorian house on Brampton High Street, in the village of Brampton near Huntingdon.  The house was first converted into a veterinary surgery in 1989 when vets Guy Poulton, Robert Done and David Stevens decided to expand beyond their surgery in St Ives.  At this time the surgery was known as Brenton Veterinary Clinic.  The house was refurbished and extended to create space for a fully equipped veterinary surgery, with waiting area, reception and consulting room, kennels, operating theatre and an office space.  In 2007 the practice joined the Medivet Group, and Ouse Valley Vets Brampton is now one of over 100 branches within the group.
