Medivet South Woodham Ferrers

Medivet South Woodham Ferrers is housed inside a converted bungalow. It was originally set up over 20 years ago and has been providing excellent veterinary care in the community ever since.

Our team of vets, nurses and client care assistants are always willing to help you in any way they can. You are always welcome to give us a call or pop in to see us, either with or without your pets.

Cat Friendly ClinicWe have been accredited by the International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM) as a Silver Cat Friendly Clinic. A requirement of this means we are pleased to offer a separate and designated cat only waiting area. This allows your feline friends to be undeterred by fellow dogs visiting the practice. We understand that a visit to the vet can be a stressful experience for all pets and we want to reduce this as much as possible.

We also have ample free parking available right outside the door to make your trip as convenient as possible.

Medivet South Woodham Ferrers prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming veterinary practice, with many long standing staff who all work to be an integral part of our local community. We feel this is reflected in our large and loyal client base and we are sure you will feel the same way, too.

Alan Perry - VetAlan Perry – Head Veterinary Surgeon

I am originally from Israel and graduated from FMVB Bucharest, Romania, in 2012. Before joining Medivet, I worked in a small veterinary practice and had my own veterinary ambulance working 24 hours a day on-call. I joined Medivet in the residency and buddy programmes and both have given me a lot of support as a new vet in the UK. After some time, I joined the Canvey Island team where I continued to learn and develop my skills further. Recently, I joined the team at South Woodham Ferrers as a head veterinary surgeon where we have a friendly and very dedicated team. I'm particularly interested in surgery and general medicine. I have a young daughter called Ayana and a stray cat called phoebe.

Animal welfare is at the heart of all decisions or treatment choices we make here at Medivet South Woodham Ferrers. That’s why we believe that preventative pet health care is vitally important. Nevertheless, we understand sometimes your pet will require emergency veterinary care and unexpected treatment. You can always rest knowing that your pet can get 24-hour care at our Medivet Southend 24-Hour Hospital.
