Catarina Corujas - Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I was born in Portugal, in a lovely mountainous countryside town called Bragança. I have always had an interest in science, so I became a Veterinary Surgeon in 2003. I have worked in a small animal practice since 2005 and I've been in the UK since 2006. I joined Medivet in February 2009 as Head Clinician at the St. Albans branch. I have a special interest in soft tissue surgery. I have a cat at home called Tobias. I look forward to seeing you at our clinic!
Katja Frizzera - Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Medivet introduced me to the wonderful world of animal care back in 2001, when I worked as a Nurse/Receptionist. I therefore decided to relocate to Vienna to train at Vet school. During my studies I won a couple of scholarships that allowed me to work at the Institute of Internal Medicine prior to graduation. I also worked at several private practices around Vienna. Furthermore, I enjoyed a 6 month internship at a busy Emergency and Referral Centre in Brooklyn, New York. Before moving back to the UK, I also worked as a Vet in Italy. I am an outgoing person, ready to help and enjoy life. In my spare time I like reading, experiencing Camden Town and going for long walks in Richmond Park with my 3 Battersea rescue dogs Domino, Abby and Zachary. I am glad to have joined the Medivet family again!
The branch is open weekdays and Saturday afternoons with after-hours support being provided by the Watford branch. Medivet St Albans is spacious, recently refurbished to a high standard and is equipped to deal with most cases received at St Albans.
