Nitzan Kroter

Nitzan Kroter  Senior Partner, Head of North West Region and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in South Africa and moved with my family to England in 2000, where I worked as a small animal vet in Oxford, and later in Essex. I joined Medivet as a practice partner in 2005 to help run our Medivet Hockley practice. In 2009, I became a senior partner to run our Enfield 24-hour hospital as well as to manage the Enfield area. I joined Medivet due to their commitment to true 24-hour patient care. They provided me with state-of-the-art facilities as well as support from experienced colleagues to allow me to pursue my special interests in surgery. In 2013, I moved to develop a veterinary project abroad and came back to manage our North West region (West Midlands and Merseyside) in October 2015. The North West is an exciting, new and rapidly developing region and we are proud to use the support model provided by Medivet for the benefit of our patients, clients, staff and partners.

Geoff PottsGeoff Potts – Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I live in Liverpool with my wife Gill, daughter Georgina, and our border terrier called Ollie. I qualified from Liverpool in 1988, and after a year in mixed practice in Lancashire, I returned to small animal practice in Liverpool. I joined Alder Vets in 1990, and bought the practice with my business partner in 1993. In the last 21 years we have added a branch, gained hospital status, and in 1998 started an emergency service providing cover for ourselves and other practices in Liverpool. In 2013, I gained a Cert AVP with modules in medicine and clinical audit. I am delighted to be part of the new group which we are forming in Liverpool.

Rachel WestRachel West - West Midlands, Shropshire and Merseyside Area Manager

I completed my studies at Hadlow College in Kent where I qualified in 2003. Prior to joining Medivet Shawbirch, I worked at Cinque Ports Vets where I worked for 9 years before joining Badgers Oak Vets for a further 6 years of experience. I am thrilled to now be a part of the Medivet family. I have a special interest in nurse clinics such as the weight clinics we run here at Shawbirch as well as the puppy parties we hold. I enjoy management and assisting in the running of the practice. I have three pets at home; my Labrador named Lola, an English Springer Spaniel called Lottie and my DSH cat called Buzz. I enjoy spending quality family time with my husband and three children. I also enjoy visiting family and friends as well as walking my dogs. I am now the Area Manager for the region and am enjoying my new role.

Emma ShepleyEmma Shepley – Merseyside Area Manager

I knew I wanted to be in the veterinary industry ever since school. I completed my work experience at a veterinary practice and then secured a receptionist position whilst studying at college. I was offered my first permanent veterinary nurse position at a practice in Bury and worked there for 5 years. I then went to work for a multi-site practice in 1991 (10 sites), and worked my way up to a practice manager position. After 23 amazing years I left and came to Medivet. Throughout my career I have achieved a variety of certificates including a degree in vet practice management. I really enjoy working for Medivet and feel that Merseyside holds an exciting future for us.

I am married with 2 children, whom I love to spend quality time with. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Charlie; he was a RSPCA cruelty case that I fostered. I also acquired a stray cat called Meowthy (my son named him); he is about 14 years old now.
