The Muswell Hill Branch of Medivet has been part of the Medivet Group since 1997 when it was purchased from retiring practitioner, Ian Palmer. Medivet Muswell Hill is managed by veterinary surgeon, Elise Bardsley, ably assisted by Practice Co-ordinator Anna Smith.
We are pleased to have received Silver status as an ISFM Cat Friendly Practice. We offer a seperate dedicated cat only waiting area. This will allow our feline friends to be undeterred by fellow dogs visiting the clinic. We understand that a visit to the vet can be a stressful experience for all pets. We have responded by providing the dedicated cat only waiting area to provide your cat with the most stress free experience during their visit to our clinic.

Elise Bardsley - Head Veterinary Surgeon
I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh. I moved to the UK from North Carolina, USA, and fell in love! Whilst at Medivet I hope to study for further qualifications in internal medicine. In my spare time I love being outdoors and all kinds of sport.
Here at Muswell Hill our fresh and dynamic team are committed to giving our clients a high standard of care, while maintaining a warm family atmosphere where your pets come first.
We offer a comprehensive range of services on-site, including urinalysis, blood tests, x-rays, routine operations and dentals. Should your pet require additional services or hospitalisation, we also have the benefit of access to our 24 hour centre in Hendon. Here we have advanced diagnostic tools including Ultrasound and MRI, and can perform larger surgical procedures such as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
We understand the importance of empowering you to care for your pets. That’s why we have a range of free nurse clinics designed to support you and them. These include:
Cat owners will know that visiting the vets is often stressful for their pets. We’re dedicated to making their visits to us as enjoyable and relaxing as possible – that’s why we’re currently seeking accreditation as a cat-friendly clinic.
Currently, cats can wait behind a divider screen in our waiting room. Dogs are asked to enter and leave through different doors so they do not have to pass waiting cats on their way to and from the consult room. Nervous cats can even have their own hideaway tent in their cages if they stay at the practice.
Should your pet need to stay with us during the day, we aim to give the a five star hospitalisation service! All kennels are neatly padded out with comfy vet beds, litter trays and water. Regular checks and even more regular cuddles are given!
The branch is open weekdays and Saturday afternoons with after-hours support being provided by the Hendon 24 hour centre.
