We are a friendly team of experienced veterinary professionals, dedicated to providing your beloved pets with the highest standard of veterinary care they deserve.
Here at Medivet Faringdon, your pet’s welfare is our number one priority. We are proud to be a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) and we are currently applying to become a cat friendly centre.
As you enter our practice, you’ll notice we have dedicated cat owner and dog owner entrances that lead you to our secluded cat or dog waiting areas. We’ve even created separate cat and dog wards to ensure both animals are completely separated during their visit, thus keeping stress levels to a minimum.
We have a wide selection of veterinary facilities on-site, including ultrasound and X-ray. We also offer a variety of veterinary services, such as hip and elbow scoring for the Kennel Club and patella scoring for the Japanese Spitz Club. Additionally, we are able to issue pet passports so that your pet can join you on your holiday!
Our vet is highly skilled and has a wealth of veterinary experience. He is able to undertake all aspects of surgery, including small orthopaedic work such as fracture repair, cruciate surgery and patella surgery. He also performs procedures such as thyroidectomy, anal gland resection, caesarean section and splenectomies.
Our Faringdon vets and nurses hope to meet you and your pets soon. We have plenty of off-road parking available should you be travelling to us by car. If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us – we are always happy to help!

Graham Pursey - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I was born in Watford and went to school in Croxley Green and Mill Hill before taking a year out and going to the Royal Veterinary College in London, qualifying in 1989. Since qualifying I have worked in Watford, Barton le Clay in Bedfordshire and Witney in West Oxfordshire before joining Medivet in October 2007, becoming a Partner at Faringdon in February 2008. I have lived locally in this beautiful area for over 16 years and currently share my home with my wife, two small children, a dog, a cat, two fish and four chickens.
