Opened in 1995 by Jan Doedans and Yorram Ariel, we were originally called DNA veterinary group. We joined Medivet in 2000 and now Yorram Ariel with partners Alba Carreras and Aimee Warner run the practice.
Medivet Richmond is an RCVS accredited clinic that offers 24 hour continuous care. This means that as well as doing routine consultations and procedures, we also deal with emergencies at any time. We offer a wide range of more complex diagnostic equipment and treatment options like keyhole surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy.
We have the facilities to look after animals night and day with nursing staff and at least one vet on site at all times. With us, your pet has access to the most sophisticated care and treatment.
If you would like more information, or if you have a question, please feel free to give us a call or pop by the practice. We are more than happy to help with any queries you may have.

Yorram Ariel - Senior Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I joined Medivet in 2000 after spending 4 years in partnership with Jan Doedens running the DNA Veterinary Group. Since joining Medivet, I have been able to focus on my true passion of being a Veterinary Surgeon. In addition to this, I spent seven years helping to build up Medivet clinics in the South West of London before moving to Oxted. I am now back in my home clinic, Richmond and enjoying working in a team of dedicated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic vets, nurses and reception staff.
Alba Carreras - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon from Barcelona in 2006 and then moved to England to work for The Blue Cross charity. I first started work with Medivet in 2007 but went on to complete an internship at a specialist referral centre before returning Medivet to run a clinic in North London.
In September 2010 I started at the Richmond practice, and in 2012 I became a partner. I love this area of London, the people, and the animals I treat. I really enjoy seeing my patients in Richmond Park looking healthy! I have a special interest in internal medicine but enjoy all aspects of my work. I live happily in Richmond with my husband, daughter and my beautiful cat, Luna.
Aimee Warner - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated in 2009 from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh. My first job was at Medivet's Enfield hospital, but in 2010 I moved to the Richmond practice and in 2012 I became a partner. I grew up in Southfields, and then in sunny Kent. I now live with my husband in Battersea with our gorgeous cat, Tiggy, and one day I hope to be able to own a dog too. I am passionate about veterinary medicine and enjoy the challenges each day has to offer. I have particular interests in feline internal medicine, surgery and ultrasound.
We enjoy getting to know our clients and patients as individuals and giving them the best possible treatment, tailored to suit each case.
Whatever your pet’s problem, we are confident we have the top of the range facilities needed to diagnose and help. We are proud to offer state of the art veterinary equipment and procedures including laparoscopic (keyhole surgery), laser surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy.
Our hospital has a strong, compassionate nursing team working and a smiling, helpful reception team out front to welcome you into our practice. The three permanent vets are all partners who are committed to making Medivet Richmond outstanding, always.
If you are looking for a new pet we are a good place to start. As well as looking after your pets we do a lot of work with HAWS, RSPCA and Cats Protection to help the stray dogs and cats of the area, often fostering homeless mums and kittens.
Richmond provides 24 Hour Continuous Care and Emergency surgery for all the South West branches: Kingston, Barnes, Twickenham, Hayes, Whitton, Battersea, and Southfields. Richmond is also the emergency 24 hour centre for many surrounding non Medivet practices.
