Our clinic is well equipped for all kinds of procedures, and animal welfare is our priority when making decisions and treatment choices.
We have been a veterinary practice for three generations, and have one of the UK's oldest boarding kennels.
Our clinic began its days as a mixed practice, treating sheep, horses and other livestock, but due to changes in farming and veterinary medicine over the years, we are now a dedicated small-animal clinic.
Our practice runs an appointment-only consultation system to allow us to give you and your pet our full attention and provide a high standard of care. Of course, if you have an emergency, we will do everything we can to see you as a priority.
You are welcome to bring your pet by at any time to check their weight, or just for a treat and a cuddle! No appointment is necessary.
Sometimes our consults may overrun, but we will try our best to keep to our allotted consultation times. We will, of course, try to inform you if we are running late and even offer you a well deserved cuppa...
Our practice underwent an amazing refurbishment in 2013 which allowed us to redesign our layout and install cutting-edge veterinary facilities for the benefit of our clients, such as X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
We have two car parks on either side of the building that you are welcome to use, so there is no need to get stuck looking for parking nearby.
We look forward to seeing you and your pet soon. If you have any questions, feel free to pop in for a chat, email your query, or call to talk to one of our staff.

Matt Holgate - Senior Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from the Edinburgh Vet School in 1999 and spent 2 years in Northumberland before moving down to Carshalton, Surrey. In September 2004 I joined Medivet as a 'floating' vet and became a full time member of the Battersea team in October 2005. My interests are in medicine, particulary ophthalmology, and I have a special soft spot for bunnies. I intend to be very involved in building up the Oxted branch region while continuing to organise our Medivet CPD with John and Anna.
Paul Grant - Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I have been a vet since 1987 and ran my own practice for 17 years. I like to integrate herbal medicines, homeopathy and natural nutrition into my work. In my spare time I walk my dogs and do Tae Kwon Do to keep myself fit and flexible.
Come in and see us with or without your pet to ask for advice, buy a pet toy or stock up on pet food – we have a wide selection in stock at all times. Or even just drop by to say hello! We are always here to help you!
Our dedicated nursing team can provide you with information about microchipping, neutering, vaccinations, worming and flea control, weight management, administering medication and much more. The nursing team are available most days, so call in to arrange a chat.
We have separate radiography and ultrasonography suites and separate hospitalisation for cats and dogs. We also see cases that require endoscopy.
The busy Medivet Oxted surgery was once a cottage and is surrounded by the beautiful Surrey countryside. Over the years the building has been added on to and, once upon a time, we used to see horses and farm animals – sometimes even in the car park!
Our dedicated team of vets, nurses and receptionists look forward to meeting you and your furry family soon.
