I was born in Surrey but grew up and studied in Sotuh Africa. I qualified as a vet from the University of Pretoria in 2001 and returned to England a few months later. I have a great interest in cat and dog medicine, as well as in the medicine of wild and exotic species. I gained a further qualification in small animal medicine in 2007 and my RCVS certificate of Zoological and Exotic Medicine in 2011 (CertZooMed). I'm also a trustee of the charity Worldwide Veterinary Services. I opened the Evegate clinic in 2008 with my wife Jane before joining Medivet in 2019.

Hi there! I am Monika and I came to UK in 2019 after I qualified from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. I have a keen interest in exotics and currently am working towards my Certificate of Advanced veterinary practice in Zoo medicine. During my free time I enjoy reading, swimmimg or going for walks but my biggest passion is traveling. In 2022 I have visited Medivet Rhino project in South Africa where I fell in love with these beautiful gentle giants.

I started working at Evegate Vets in November 2023 after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in London, and although new to the team I already feel part of the family! Clinically I have a keen interest in exotics, surgery and emergency medicine. In my spare time I like to unwind with a bit of travelling, climbing, martial arts, cooking and training my two guinea pigs Ronnie and Brownie.

I have loved being a veterinary nurse for over 20 years. I qualified in 2006 and been part of the team since it opened. After 12 years of being Head Nurse and a clinical coach, I now enjoy a part time role whilst raising a young family with two small children. I have rescued various pets over the years and currently have a very cuddly cat called Loki. I enjoy country walks, pub lunches, reading and socialising with family and friends.

I've been a vet nurse for 16 years and qualified in 2010. In 2013 I gained the certificate for veterinary nursing of exotic species. I have quite a menagerie including three rescue cats, a 12-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Suie, a chicken called Hoodie and a husband called Matt. Outside work I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and animals. I'm also involved with a local cub group (my brother is their Arkala) and help them to achieve their animal care badge.

Huge credit and our thanks to Monika and Fay, they were absolutely outstanding in the care and advice given over my elderly beagle dog, Oscar. Back in Sept he developed severe arthritis in his hip and thought the worst, but I was recommended a drug which was a marvel and gave him a good 6 months of extra life. We said goodbye to him on 11/03/24 and his usual vet Monika was there along with nurse Fay and we couldn't of asked for a better send off. Both ladies went above and beyond. Gave us time to say goodbye and talked us through the process and were with us throughout. They also helped with coordination of the cremation services. Thank you so much for everything ❤️ Highly recommended

The staff are so friendly and helpful and usually my cats are so nervous going to the vets but they seem to be fine when I take them here 😁

Although we’re happy to see these pets at the practice, we advise checking with us that the vet who can offer the service is available on the day of your preferred booking. Pet travel documents involve a lengthy process - please ensure you discuss with the clinic with plenty of time before you plan to travel.
