The staff are always super friendly and even though we are only attending appointments every 6 months, the nurse remember my dog and make her feel special. The appointments themselves are smooth and everything is clearly explained.

Worst vets ever don't care about pets just money

Would be willing to put a healthy, not aggressive xl bully down. Won’t trust any vet who’s ok with killing innocent dogs!

I called this morning to register my 2 year old cat who I have recently rescued, and ask to be seen as he had been vomiting persistently since Saturday morning after eating my neighbours plants (Lillies) My cat has IBD and it’s is a known fact that lilies are toxic for cats!! The receptionist told me they had no appointments until the following day and I would have to call at 8:30 in the morning as it was a first come first served basis and they don’t take appointments ?!?! She told me to monitor my cat and see if he got any worse then book him as an emergency or take him to the rescue centres vet (40 miles away near Southend)!!!! I explained that he had eaten a toxic plant and I was very concerned as he hadn’t eaten or drank since Saturday morning and was lethargic and vomiting every hour so I considered this to be an emergency! I just got the same, uninterested reply. Zero concern! I managed to get him seen elsewhere with another veterinary practice who clearly have experienced and knowledgable staff, and who have basically saved his life today. Had I left it till morning then the toxic shock my pet was experiencing was life threatening! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND MEDIVET NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE TO GET YOUR PET SEEN!!

It's a shame I am having to write this review as reading a lot of the reviews on this vets it seems there is a lot of good feed back. Yet our experience was absolutely different,firstly Marta, who dealt with my wife was clearly not having a good morning,before she even greeted her she was huffing and puffing rubbing her head,then after my wife explained what the issue was with our pet, she then took our cat to examine, however when she came back Marta said she wanted to do numerous tests and scans so of course my wife asked how much. As you can imagine this was well over a thousand pound. as we didn't have pet insurance and before even asking if we could pay she was tutting emphasizing this is why people need pet insurance in a cold tone. She even suggested getting a credit card! My wife was so upset enough without some 2 bit vet having absolutely no empathy on the situation. My wife also explained our circumstances as I nearly died a few months ago and need full time care now as I'm on full time oxygen. so due to this my wife lost her job. We can't help that we're in this situation. It was clearly visible that Marta has an issue today either that or she conducts herself in that manner all the time...sad really considering the field of work they are in, the next thing Marta then said was given our financial situation maybe it's just kinder to put our cat to sleep! And was almost urging her to do it there and then. I pray others don't encounter Marta like we did as it was truly upsetting let alone unprofessional. They should not be putting people on the spot like that especially when clearly my wife was crying her eyes out and in such a state There was absolutely no empathy what so ever. I can assure you what ever decision we make we will not be going back to that vets.... .since I made this review Medivet was soon to respond with please get in touch so we can discuss this matter further,emailed them with contact info which is a bit bizarre as they had all our details from the practice anyhow,it's now been a month since doing that and not one attempt to contact us in regards to our experience,and if they try contacting me after I post this they can jog on they ain't worth the time of day.I guess it like most companies that receive a bad review they post a response making out they give a s*** so people think they care,well don't be dupped as they haven't given a monkies with our experience.
