I have worked in this practice since qualifying as a veterinary nurse in April 1987, I started off preferring equine nursing but over the years I have enjoyed working with a wide range of species and am currently interested in all aspects of behavioural issues.

I started working at Medivet Stoke in January 2019 during a week of work experience in school. After this, I continued to work voluntary days during school holidays in order to help the team here as much as possible. From September 2020 - June 2021, I completed a year-long course at college to qualify as a PCA (Patient Care Assistant). Since October 2021, I have been a full time PCA and I'm currently working towards my dream of becoming a veterinary nurse in the future. At home, I have a springer spaniel called Oscar who I have owned since 2017!

I've paid for 3 years, 15 pounds every month for worm and flee treatment, every six months when you need to pick up the pills, they find reasons to not issue them, saying that i need to bring the dog for health check, but they don't have any spaces available too soon , they can't issue the pills without seeing the dog etc, I had enough, It's an unnecessary stress, with money already paid...Make your life easier, find another veterinary.

My cat passed away because of you. If you weren’t dismissive of my cat’s symptoms, blaming literal SEIZURES on the fact she was wearing a nappy to help her incontinence? You broke my heart. I visited you four times and only on the fourth visit you reffered her to a hospital. I paid for so many visits and watched you say „I don’t know, lets give her antibiotics”. Where are the tests? Where? EDIT: I mentally cannot recover from her loss. I’m attaching a video of her seizures so others can see what kind of serious symptoms got dismissed in this practice. I trusted your word that it was from nappies, but you just didn’t care about her. If you actually tested her earlier I could have saved her but it took three vet visits for you to even suggest a blood test and four to refer to a hospital. I miss my baby every day and cry after her.

I cannot praise enough this practice, the vet david Quiton and the whole team. Not sure their names but the lady and the gents on the reception are really helpful. My dog was really poorly, with bad infection and fever. she was in pain and shivering. I called on Thursday and there was no issues with arranging appointment for the next day. The vet definitely knows how to approach a dog in pain. He prescribed the right medicine for my girl and 3 days later she feels much much better.

Nurses are Great. My cat is used to seeing Vets and she is usually relaxed and waks all over the room but this was not the case, she didnt want to come out the container once she saw the vet, growled and nearly bit him. Besides that we got told that cats usually dont show pain so there no point of treating dental issues…erm, dont know why would you become a pet Doctor if you dont care about their wellbeing regardles whether they show pain or not. Not confident we would get the best treatment there.

The staff at my London Road Stoke MediVet are absolutely wonderful - all of them. Kind, patient, knowledgeable, and so caring towards my cats. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would not consider going to any other Veterinary Practice!

Brought my cat into the vet yesterday morning as she was limping on her back paw. Was told she needed to be put under anaesthetics for an x-ray for further investigation. This would of cost us £600 minus the medication needed. I was unable to pay upfront for this payment and was told that my cat may have to be put down. I thought this was very extreme for them to say causing me unnecessary stress over something that could have been sorted via other options. So instead contacted PDSA who were only able to fit us in the following day. Was told if I could not get her fitted in and didn’t return back to Medivet they would report us to RSPCA. We managed to get her fitted in to PDSA this morning who were much more understanding and helpful regarding her situation. The whole process of getting her checked was a lot different to my experience with Medivet. First of all checked her weight, paw, heartbeat and got her to walk to see if she could put weight on it, which she could. Medivet did not do any of that. Thankfully her paw ended up just to be a sprain and we were able to take her home. Due to this we feel like Medivet blew the whole thing out of proportion without even assessing the paw properly. In my opinion when someone who comes in distressed looking for help you don’t use their emotions to try and scare me into paying for treatment which would of cost hundreds and thousands that wasn’t even necessary then warn me that I’d be reported to RSPCA and have my cat put down. Will never be coming here again.
