I qualified in Romania in 2010 and then moved to Liverpool in 2017. After gathering experience as Branch Partner in a smaller Practice, I decided it's time for a bigger challenge so in December 2023 I became Branch Partner in Medivet Alder. I have a special interest in feline medicine, soft tissue surgery and I love doing consults as I get to meet some amazing pets with interesting stories. Outside of work, I love spending time with my cat and my wife (in that order) I like traveling as well as hiking, building computers and also keeping up to date with technology.

I graduated from Harper Adams University in 2016. Following graduation, I worked at a busy 24-hour mixed animal hospital near Preston where I gained my certificate in hydrotherapy for small animals and trained as a class four laser therapist: expanding my interest in complementary therapies and rehabilitation. In addition, my rotating shifts gave me experience in emergency medicine, leading to me joining the night team at Alder in 2020 to pursue my nursing passion in emergency and critical care. Recently, I have achieved the Vets Now Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care with distinction, and I am now looking for my next academic challenge to ensure my knowledge is constantly up to date. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, rock climbing, and spending time with my rescue dog, Max.

I am hoping to progress to be a student nurse as it has always been my passion to be a fully qualified veterinary nurse one day. I had to leave behind my 2 gorgeous Jack Russells, Sam and Albus, when I moved out but with me came my bearded dragon Tangy and my crested gecko Bruni.

I can’t thank Glad and the team at Alder enough, every appointment Glad is thorough, knowledgeable and absolutely loves animals. But an even bigger thanks to Glad and the team for saving our puppies life, Maverick was brought in as he really wasn't well at all, then we were told he had Parvo. After a couple of nights staying in Alder, receiving all the best treatment and us getting daily updates, we were able to bring him home, much happier and healthier than when we took him in. I will always remember and appreciate the work they did to save Maverick’s life. Thank you

We’ve unfortunately had to visit Alder as an out of hours practice due to a cat who prefers to get ill outside of our usual Medivet opening hours. On every occasion; whether a Sunday afternoon, a Bank Holiday or in the early hours of the morning the whole team have been great. When sleep deprived and stressed the nurses who answer the calls have always been compassionate & helpful. The same goes for both the front of house vets and their colleagues in the hospital. We’ve always had easy to understand explanations when possible or next steps required to diagnose when required. Our cat with long term health conditions has always been treated compassionately, as have we as owners with regular updates from the team when hospitalisation has been required. We have such faith in the team that we have moved our registration from our local Medivet to the Alder practice.

We've been with the Medivet chain for years with our 4 cats and Alder has always been our out of hours vets. And yes our diabetic 17yr old cat LOVES her emergency visits! The staff are always efficient, kind and caring. We don't have insurance either (!) and I've always found the treatment price fair and reasonable considering the over night's and medical intervention which has been required (as recently as 3 weeks ago!). The team at Alder work very hard and around the clock, and last time we were there the staff apologised for a very short wait to see the vet, however given the fact Alder is a hospital dealing with serious issues we were more than happy to wait (think NHS triage!). I'd like to say a big thank you to Dora, Christina and Glad and all the nursing team who took care of our naughty tortie recently! She's back to her grumpy self! Xx

Absolutely exceptional practice, so caring and helpful to a first time cat owner. Explains everything and is always willing to listen to my questions (no matter how silly they might be). In terms of healthcare they are brilliant! My cat loves going for her checkups and treatments as it’s more of a treat eating session and cuddle opportunity 🤣. Well done to the entire team 👍

I could not thank Glad and his team more. The experience and knowledge that Glad has for my Bengal cat is very valuable, she has had the most amazing care with him and nothing is ever an issue. Luckily we have not needed them for anything serious but if we ever did, I would be more than comfortable leaving her in their capable hands. The team are always so welcoming and willing to help with anything big or small! Thank you you are doing an amazing job!

I had the worst experience at this practice, the receptionist and vet were extremely insensitive, I brought my cat in as an emergency so we were clearly upset and distressed: all the vet cared about was the cost and how much we would need to pay. Unfortunately we needed to put our cat to sleep, no empathy at all, we never even got asked did we want some fur and paw prints.all she was concerned with was the bill and making sure we paid it before we left. Disgusting service and will urge people to never take their babies here

We moved our dog to Medivet after being recommended but they’re dreadful. Our dog is so stressed when visiting - every appointment we have been for has ran behind 20-40 minutes (not ideal when they are in the middle of the working day). Their communication is awful - see below. For the past 2 years our dog has suffered from ear infections & digestive issues then developed skin issues. We asked for allergy testing which was reluctantly agreed by the vet (early January). The original blood sample was lost in transport but it took almost 3 weeks to be notified of this. Then the second sample did not contain enough blood. The lab had notified the vets 1 week after the appointment but they didn’t contact us - we only found out when I rang at the 2 week mark to get the results. Our dog has had 3 blood samples taken for simple allergy testing which is ridiculous! The reception staff are lovely, the blonde lady often apologies for the late appointments & is always polite. However, there is never an apology from the vets if the appointments are running behind. The first vet we seen was amazing, so caring & listened to us. The second vet we seen was beyond rude, not letting us explain the issues we have had on & off with our dog before deciding what was wrong - then demanded we put our dog on an analergenic diet or at least a hypoallergenic diet. We were reluctant to do this as it wouldn’t highlight what our dog was allergic to, hence wanting allergy testing. However, we were told we would have to try one of those options for 12 weeks before it would be considered. When we returned after 12 weeks our dog was still having ear and digestive issues. We seen a different vet who agreed to do the testing and he also seen us for the repeat blood sample. The vet we were due to see today didn’t even bother to see us to apologise. They took the dog through to the back to get the extra blood needed. One of the receptionists told me that there was a bruise on our dog’s neck due to the amount of blood they took and they had put some cream on him. But when we have looked, there is a very clear razor burn on his skin. I am beyond appalled at Medivet, there has been multiple issues since we have moved there and I was never recommend them to anyone. P.S. this vets is an animal hospital so often has lots of animal noise & has quite a strong animal smell, which we think makes our dogs stress levels worse. I’d highly advise against if your dog is anxious or struggles at the vets.
