Opening Hours

Open 24 hours, 365 days a year

We’re here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We have internal round-the-clock care at our 24-hour practice.

Open

Symptom Checker

If you’re not sure whether your pet needs to see a vet, our quick and easy Symptom Checker can help. Answer a few simple questions about the signs of illness your pet is displaying and the checker will advise whether a trip to the vet is necessary and how urgently that specialist care should be given.

  • Your vet in Alder

As Liverpool's only dedicated 24-hour veterinary hospital, we provide expert, friendly care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Benefit from our well-equipped, modern facilities and wide range of services, including minor and advanced surgery, dentistry, and same-day lab results.

  • Cat-friendly facilities

At Medivet, we understand that cats have unique needs and natures, which can often make visits to the vet very stressful both for cats and owners. That's why we provide separate cat waiting areas and operating theatres, to ensure you and your cat's visits are stress-free.

  • Keyhole and Endoscopic Surgery

Our practice is equipped with a full video endoscopy system to enable us to perform cutting-edge keyhole surgery. Our surgeons have a depth of experience using this advanced equipment for minimally invasive surgeries.

My fur baby Tyson has just spent the last two days of his life with Cara the vet at Medivets. Cara was amazing and such a beautiful and kind person and I am so glad my dog’s last two days were being looked after by her . In all the 14 years of owning dogs I have never met a vet like her . She spent time out of her mad busy day to keep me updated on his condition and tried everything she could to save my baby. I have much comfort that he was loved and had lots of cuddles in his last days off Cara and her team . Sammy the vetinary nurse was also amazing and nothing was ever too much . Both these members of the Medivet team are such a credit to this vetinary hospital. Thank you Cara and Sammy from the bottom of my broken heart

I'm new to the area and we needed to rush our 4 month old puppy in after hours due to him getting into contact with mouse pellets on a walk. The receptionist on the phone was very calming and polite and explained everything including the cost before we came in which personally I believe reasonable dispite other reviews. Due to Covid the ladys who collected him and the vets who called us were so so lovely and gave us multiple options. I don't know what we would have done without this 24 hour service and so we're so grateful to the staff, thank you again

I received an amazing service from the vets at Medivet today for my chihuahua Bean. After ringing several vet practices and being told they weren't taking on new pets, I tried Medivet Alder. They let me register and she was seen the same day. She had a tick removed and because it was a quick procedure they didn't even charge. We were so happy with the service and couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thanks for fitting us in!
