Having qualified as a vet from Edinburgh in 1996, I spent four and a half years in a mixed practice in Cumbria before starting the Leamington Spa practice in December 2000. I’m a Centre Veterinary Surgeon for the Guide Dogs’ National Breeding Centre and have a keen interest in cardio-respiratory conditions of dogs and cats. I’m also interested in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and have gained the General Practitioners certificate in Endoscopy and Endosurgery. I recently earnt a further GP Certificate in Emergency Medicine and Surgery.

Following graduation from Cambridge University in 2009, I worked in mixed practice until 2013 when I joined the Leamington Spa team, having developed a bias towards small animal practice. My main interests include dentistry and diagnostic imaging; I recently developed my expertise in this area by gaining a GP certificate in Diagnostic Imaging.

I graduated in 2005 from the Royal Veterinary College and went straight into mixed practice where I remained for five years. I then spent seven years at a small animal charity where I developed an interest in surgery while undertaking an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour. Since coming to Medivet in August 2017, I have continued developing my interests further and have enjoyed learning keyhole spays. I am a cat advocate as part of the Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation scheme at Medivet Leamington Spa.

I became a vet in 2001 after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in London. I previously worked in small animal practice in Derby for two years and at Medivet Kenilworth since 2003, before moving to Leamington Spa permanently in 2019. My job is always interesting thanks to my varied caseload, both medical and surgical.

Following my graduation from the University of Thessaly (Greece) in 2013, I moved to Germany where I worked at a referral hospital for 3 years. Since 2017 I've been living in the UK and have worked in several small animal practices across the country. I recently gained a GP Certificate in Ophthalmology and apart from eyes, my main interests include imaging and surgery. I joined the Leamington Spa team in August 2019 and I am focusing on further developing my skills and interests.

Having graduated as a vet in Liverpool University in 2004 , I spent my first 6 years in mixed practice in Yorkshire then South Worcestershire - both jobs having considerable on-call duties alongside busy daytimes. I then became a small animal day vet in Redditch for 5 years, starting the practice with ultrasonography and chemotherapy as well as honing my general surgical and medical knowledge. I became a night vet in South Wales for 5 years and have enjoyed emergency and critical care ever since. I joined Leamington Spa in the summer of 2020 as a night vet and relish a variety of cases.

Following my graduation from USAMV Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in 2020, I immediately started working in the UK. Since starting working I was fortunate enough to join the team over at the Leamington Spa Hospital which helped and guided me through my first year as a new graduate. My interests are surgery and neurology but I also enjoy ophthalmology and imaging. Looking forward I would like to improve on these skills and start a certificate as well.

I joined the Leamington Spa hospital right after being qualified as a vet from the University of Glasgow in 2020. I have since then continued developing my professional skills as a vet with the guidance of my fellow colleagues. My main interests include emergency and critical care and surgery. In the future, I am planning to expand my knowledge in emergency medicine and gain a post-graduate certificate in this field.

I qualified as a vet nurse in a mixed practice in 2005 and have been head vet nurse for the last eight years. I have a keen interest in medical nursing and emergency and critical care. I gained my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary nursing from Harper Adams University in 2018. My typical day consists of looking after the Leamington nursing team, student training and making sure the vets are supplied with nursing support and copious amounts of coffee and cake. At home I have a black labrador, a jack russell terrier and two horses.

I have a keen interest in preventative healthcare and help champion the excellent dental service we provide. I consider myself very lucky to work with such professional, knowledgeable and compassionate colleagues and value my position within the team. I have a keen interest in small animals and find reptiles fascinating. I’m currently studying to be a vet nurse and love working in the hospital. I have two cats at home called Ralph and Rocky who are complete opposites but very special in their own way. I joined the veterinary industry in 2014 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Zoology. I've always had a great admiration for animals and their loyalty towards their human companions. I began working as a receptionist at the Kenilworth practice, but now work a combination of reception and administration between the Kenilworth and Leamington Spa 24 Hour practices. At home I have an English Springer Spaniel called Milo, who takes his role as a springer very seriously. We enjoy running together followed by snuggles on the sofa.

We had to visit the practice at 3am with our dog (Whisper, a 7yr old Cavalier with an existing heart murmur) whilst away on holiday in Kenilworth. The vet (Sophie) was just wonderful. She put us at ease, explained everything and reassured us that we did the right thing taking Whisper. Thankfully Whisper was fine, but the vet didn’t make us feel like we had wasted her time, and told us if we had any other worries to just ring them.
