I’m a Centre Veterinary Surgeon for the Guide Dogs’ National Breeding Centre and have a keen interest in cardio-respiratory conditions of dogs and cats. I’m also interested in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and have gained the General Practitioners certificate in Endoscopy and Endosurgery. I've worked at the practice since 2000. I've worked between the Leamington 24 hour centre and Kenilworth practice most of that time. I have much surgical experience, and hold an RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology. I'm also an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Veterinary Dermatology and take referrals. At home I have three dogs; Olive, a miniature smooth haired Daschund, Nancy and Margot, two fox red labradors, and a horse that our daughter events on. I'm the chief groom and driver. My hobbies include travel, skiing, gardening, reading, dog walking and helping with the horse. I also sing and have sung with my daughter in a Gareth Malone choir at the Latitude Festival.

From a young age I was fascinated by Veterinary Medicine. I used to follow the village vet around and was amazed at what he would do. Since then, I graduated from ICBAS in Porto, Portugal and did a three month internship at Tennessee University before working for a small animal practice in Portugal. I moved to the UK in 2010, and have been working with Medivet ever since, first in Coventry and currently my time is split between the Leamington 24H Hospital and the Bedworth King Street branch. I enjoy the investigative challenge of Internal Medicine.

Following graduation from Cambridge University in 2009, I worked in mixed practice until 2013 when I joined the Leamington Spa team, having developed a bias towards small animal practice. My main interests include dentistry and diagnostic imaging; I recently developed my expertise in this area by gaining a GP certificate in Diagnostic Imaging.

I graduated in 2005 from the Royal Veterinary College and went straight into mixed practice where I remained for five years. I then spent seven years at a small animal charity where I developed an interest in surgery while undertaking an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour. Since coming to Medivet in August 2017, I have continued developing my interests further and have enjoyed learning keyhole spays.

I became a vet in 2001 after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in London. I previously worked in small animal practice in Derby for two years and at Medivet Kenilworth since 2003, before moving to Leamington Spa permanently in 2019. My job is always interesting thanks to my varied caseload, both medical and surgical.

I began working at a practice in Devon, and moved to Coventry a year later. I've been working for Medivet since April 2018. I like spending my free time reading sci-fi books and playing with my cats.

Nurse Manager

I’m proud to be Nurse Manager heading up our excellent nursing team. I qualified in 1982 in Dublin and have had a varied career, including as an RCVS examiner, lecturer and clinical coach. I’ve been awarded Veterinary Nurse of the Year twice and received a commendation from the British Veterinary Nursing Association for my achievements. My primary role as Nurse Manager takes up a large proportion of my time, although my real passion is the animals; you’ll always find me cuddling something. I still love my work even after all this time and I feel very lucky to have found such a rewarding career.

I qualified as a vet nurse in a mixed practice in 2005 and have been head vet nurse for the last eight years. I have a keen interest in medical nursing and emergency and critical care. I gained my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary nursing from Harper Adams University in 2018. My typical day consists of looking after the Leamington nursing team, student training and making sure the vets are supplied with nursing support and copious amounts of coffee and cake. At home I have a black labrador, a jack russell terrier and two horses.

I qualified in November 2018 and really enjoy working in a busy 24-hour hospital environment. The best part of my job is caring for our in-patients, which I find very rewarding. I also enjoy watching ultrasound scans, and in the future, my aim is to take a diagnostics course to expand my knowledge.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2011 and then went on to complete my diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Small Animal) in 2014. Here I specialised in anaesthesia, surgical nursing and intensive care. I’m now very proud to be the Senior Surgical Nurse at our Leamington Spa hospital. When not at work, you can often find me out and about with my crazy spaniels: Fig (my rescue English Springer Spaniel) and Flur (my working Cocker Spaniel).

I have a keen interest in preventative healthcare and help champion the excellent dental service we provide. I consider myself very lucky to work with such professional, knowledgeable and compassionate colleagues and value my position within the team. When I’m not at work, I share my life with Hovis, the one-eyed Pug/Border Terrier cross, and Bertha, a Labrador Retriever

I studied Animal Care at Moreton Morrell College and Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Plymouth University. I’ve also volunteered at the National Marine Aquarium, working with turtles, sharks and a very friendly octopus, as well as an Australian wildlife sanctuary, raising and releasing a pair of joeys. I have a keen interest in small animals and find reptiles fascinating. I’m currently studying to be a vet nurse and love working in the hospital. I have two cats at home called Ralph and Rocky who are complete opposites but very special in their own way.

I'm in my final year as a student veterinary nurse and hopefully soon to be qualified. I've worked for Medivet since November 2018 and prior to this I studied Horse Care and Management at Morton Morrell College, and Instructing at Summerhouse Equestrian Centre. In my spare time I'm usually with my beloved Border Collie, Hallie. We've recently taken up agility in our spare time. I have a keen interest in nursing the inpatients in the hospital and enjoy emergency care. This is an area in which I wish to expand my skills and knowledge in the future.

I originally joined the Kenilworth team as a Client Care Assistant in 2018, before transitioning to a Patient Care Assistant in December of the same year. I've now started training as a Student Veterinary Nurse at Leamington Spa. Although I don’t have any pets myself, I’ve been adopted by my next-door neighbour’s cat, Izzy.

I've worked as a veterinary receptionist since 2007, and spent eleven years at a large practice in Nuneaton. I then worked in the care industry for a year, before realising I really missed the veterinary world. I joined Medivet in Leamington in February 2019, and enjoy the challenge and variety of the job. In my spare time I practise jiu jitsu and enjoy spending time with my crazy cat Lemmy and my border collie Shep.

I joined the Leamington Spa team in November 2011 after a varied career working in television news and teaching English at universities in the UK, the Netherlands and Switzerland. I now head up the reception team here and can't really describe a typical day as there’s no such thing. When not at work, my time is taken up with my two dogs, Mishka and Freda. Freda's hobbies are eating tea towels, rugs, furniture and £20 notes.

I trained to be a veterinary nurse after leaving school, and since then have worked in this capacity for several different veterinary practices. I recently moved from Medivet Binley to come to Leamington as a Receptionist, as I felt it was time for me to hang up my nurse's hat and have a change. I have two daughters, a dog and two cats, and I enjoy walking, gardening, reading and pilates.

I joined the veterinary industry in 2014 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Zoology. I've always had a great admiration for animals and their loyalty towards their human companions. I began working as a receptionist at the Kenilworth practice, but now work a combination of reception and administration between the Kenilworth and Leamington Spa 24 Hour practices. At home I have an English Springer Spaniel called Milo, who takes his role as a springer very seriously. We enjoy running together followed by snuggles on the sofa.
