I've been a Branch Partner at Southend since 2015. I have a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Internal Medicine and am close to completing a certificate in Cardiology. I run the hospital-side of the practice and love anything to do with internal medicine. At home I have two cats, two budgies and a giant land snail called Neal (so named as it is how my youngest daughter pronounces snail). Outside of work I spend the majority of my time with my family or rock-climbing. I travel around the world to rock-climb and have a climbing wall in my house, which I use as a training aid between trips.

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2005 and came to Medivet Southend in 2014. I previously had two long term jobs in small animal veterinary hospitals and spent a year travelling around the world. My main areas of interest are surgery and endoscopy and I have certificates in endoscopy and keyhole surgery as well as Advanced Veterinary Practice with a surgical bias. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, walking with my Romanian rescue pup Lea, and being rudely awoken in the middle of the night by my cat Syril when he wants attention.

I qualified from the University of Glasgow Vet School in July 2015 and joined the Medivet Southend team in 2019. I'm particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology, and hope to begin working towards an ophthalmology certificate. In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey and am in the Old Southendian Hockey Club Ladies first team. When not playing Hockey I can be found in the gym or spending time with my ever-expanding family, including my English bulldog, Lola, whom I adore.

I qualified in 2016 from the University of Lisbon, Portugal, where I'm from. I joined Medivet in November 2018 and have been working permanently at Southend since January 2020. Medically, I have a strong interest in exotic species and am always looking for opportunities to further my knowledge of them. I also enjoy internal medicine. When not at work I enjoy spending time with my lovely cat named Panda. I'm also fond of travelling and bird watching.

Back home in Portugal I have a cross-breed dog named Luna and a cat named Pepper. When not at work, I enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air and going to the cinema regularly.

I started with Medivet in 2019, after qualifying in 2018 at the University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania. I'm looking forward to enhancing my knowledge of internal medicine here at Medivet Southend. I used to own a cocker spaniel named Tommy who lived to the grand old age of 14. Outside of work these days my hobbies include reading and swimming, and I also take great pleasure in discovering different cultures and understanding their ways of life.

I joined Medivet in 2019 and qualified from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania. I'm currently undertaking a certificate in diagnostic imaging, specifically focusing on CT scanning. Outside of work I enjoy swimming and spending time with my family, including my young daughter, and my cat Poppy. Interestingly, in my career, I've been known to scan fish, aardvarks and even cheetahs.

I've worked for Medivet Southend since 2015 and absolutely love my job. I find the interaction with the patients and their humans incredibly fulfilling. I was initially inspired to work in the veterinary field after visiting my local Medivet practice and meeting my vet Johan, where I take my dog Niâmh. Niâmh is a ten and a half year-old German Shepherd and she means the absolute world to me. However, at work I also have a very special place in her heart for our practice cat, Gary. Outside of work I enjoy walking in the forest with Niâmh and my family.

Second time I’ve taken my cat here. All the staff are really friendly and caring and they went above and beyond to look after our cat Rudie after he had a reaction to flea treatment. We bought him home after an overnight stay and we were still a little concerned. They suggested we send over videos of the symptoms (minor twitching) and the vet and nurses reviewed these for us and put our mind at ease without us having to bring our cat back. Overall very impressed with their dedication and care. Thank you!

Medi-vet were able to see my puppy at short notice, when no other vets would, without an appointment. They were able to diagnose and treat him extremely quickly and were even able to carry out on site lab testing. The support team and vets were very understanding and made me feel confident that they would give him the best possible care and provide all the necessary treatment to ensure his recovery. I am very grateful to the whole team. Thank you.

Our felix began choking late at night we took him to medi vet who did their best to save him but we sadly lost him. They sent us a card to say sorry for our loss it was such a kind and thoughtful gesture meant a lot. We were also worried about our long haired ginger cat who was losing his fur couldn't take him to the vets because of lockdown medi vet gave us valuable advice over the phone again kind and considerate I can't praise them enough

normally go to vets4pets in leigh and they have been treating my guinea pig for a suspected URI, I called them yesterday morning and booked him in as he sounded like his breathing was extremely laboured and noisey, they called back 30 mins later and canceled the appt saying they wouldn't see him until he finished his antibiotic course even though he has been deteriorating. I called medivet and they happily accepted to see him and there was a phone call to discuss the issues while we were outside and then oliver came and thoroughly discussed all our options and agreed a plan, he even gave us a print out of the scan for our daughter which was lovely , the attitude from vets4pets has seemed to be 'he's only a guinea pig' and I didnt experience this at all at your practice :) and everything possible was done to help us and investigate his issues thoroughly. Thanks very much! :)

We first visited here on out of hours appointment and have had a few visits since. Although my cat has had various tests etc here and is apparently medically healthy - she still refuses to eat 😢 The communication from the team here and especially Oliver, has been excellent. Whatever questions I’ve had, they’ve answered. They’ve called back when they said they would and Oliver has explained all the tests & results in great detail. It’s also a huge benefit they deal direct with insurance claims which takes away an added stress. Now I just need to get my cat better! 😺🤞

Came in on an out of hours appointment, our cat was presenting with vomiting and lethargy, Sandy was lovely and made a very stressful situation as easy as possible, she gave us multiple options for treatment and explained each, and gave us some general tips as well! Lovely staff.
