I qualified from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh in 2010 after receiving a BSc in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University in America. I joined the Thirsk team in 2013 and became a practice partner in 2019. I love bonding with clients and their pets and am often found consulting. I'm passionate about first opinion and preventative medicine. At home, I have two young boys and three dogs, so whether at work or at home I'm always busy.

I joined the practice in 2020. I qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover in 2016 and previously worked in the south before moving up north. I'm currently studying towards gaining my surgical certificate. The surgical techniques I will gain will mean we can offer our patients the best care available. I'm also passionate about feline veterinary medicine and am working towards becoming the clinic’s cat advocate.

I joined the practice in 2021 after previously working in London and Devon. I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017 and although originally from the south I enjoy being in Yorkshire where I can pursue my interests of horse riding, painting, and dog walking in beautiful areas. I'm interested in medicine and am working towards gaining my Advanced Practitioner status in internal medicine, which means I'm undertaking further education which is both practical and theoretical in order to provide advanced medicine consultations to our patients.

I enjoy running nurse clinics including my favourite, Confidence Classes. When I'm not at Skeldale, I enjoy running and am currently training for marathons. At home I have lots of animals, two bull terriers called Baz and Eddie, a mini pinscher called Alice, a shire horse called Annie and a retired racehorse called Stanley, as well as several hens and ducks which I've hand reared from Skeldale.

I qualified in 2017 and joined the team in 2019 after working in Stockton. I love looking after patients, either in theatre, on wards, or in nurse clinics. I especially love nursing pets to feel better, watching their personalities return and bonding with them. At home I have a rescue cavalier king charles spaniel called Oscar, who is quirky but very loveable. I'm also a keen gardener and like walking Oscar all over the countryside.

I started working at the practice in 2019 as a Patient Care Assistant and then became a Student Veterinary Nurse. Having grown up on a farm, I was keen to work with animals and veterinary nursing has always been a job I wanted to pursue. I thoroughly enjoy the practical aspects of the job and I have a growing interest in laboratory work as I find it fascinating what can be seen under the microscope. At home I have an elderly dog called Swift, who is an unusual cross - jack Russel and border collie. She loves being outside and going on walks. I also have a lovely rescue rabbit who is very affectionate. When I have spare time, I like to go for walks and explore the countryside with my friends.

We have been beyond impressed with the help and service we have received from Skeldale Veterinary Hospital in Thirsk this weekend when our cocker spaniel required an emergency c-section, on Good Friday! We have required their OOH service twice in the last couple of weeks and their friendly staff, even in the early hours of the morning, have been AMAZING. Highly recommend.

Having two small dogs of my own and my son having a very young puppy, we have recently been treated at Skeldale and the staff are all amazing. Everyone knows Bella and have made her feel at ease. My young jack Russell Eddie has issues with confidence and Zoe has been wonderful in her sessions with him. Best Vets ever!

Thank you so much for the kindness and patience that you are showing to our Greek rescue Monty. He finds new people, places and situations difficult to process, so having the opportunity to attend Zoe’s confidence clinics and taking things at Montys pace is hugely appreciated.

Our Jack Russell girl was poorly while we were on holiday over New Year. Thankfully Skeldale Vetinary Hospital is open for emergencies. The examinations were thorough and when she stayed in the hospital communication with us was excellent. Although we didn't get right to the root of the problem the tests carried out there were informative and she was stabilised to let us travel back home. The records have been shared with our usual vets at home and she now has a referral to an internal medicine consultant in the next few days. I hope we never need to, but should the need arise I wouldn't hesitate to take my dogs here again. Thank you Skeldale.

Excellent service and very caring for our dog. The staff on duty were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone. If the practice was nearer to our home we would use it all the time.

Really friendly and supportive team from the moment you walk into the practice. Even more impressed with follow up appointment with Vet Sarah today, she took a holistic overview of our dog’s health, gave helpful advice and just seemed to really care about our dog and the relationship that we as owners have with the practice. I also take comfort in the team being available 24 hours and knowing our dog if she ever needed out of hours care.

We have been going to Skeldale in Thirsk for 41 years. Even though it is now a Medivet practice it still retains the old Skeldale values. The reception staff are really friendly and my vet, Sarah Beckerlegge, is very knowledgeable, kind and patient and has a genuine love of animals. We also have the peace of mind to know Skeldale offer a 24 hour service.
