I was a late starter and had been pursuing a career in Marketing and Market Research, until a decision in career change in 2006 brought me to Medivet to be retrained as a veterinary nurse. I have three cats - Boris, Luna and Ozzy. Luna was missing for 4.5 years, and big thanks to her microchip she was able to reunite with us! I qualified as an RVN in 2009 and was Deputy Head Nurse until 2017.

I moved to the UK in 2013 and started training with Medivet in March 2016, finally qualifying as a registered veterinary nurse in February 2021. I have one very fluffy, lazy white cat who I rehomed...he loves living a life of pampered luxury! I have worked at the Woodstock branch for the last 2 years, have a keen interest in inpatient care and throughly enjoy working in a hospital environment. I grew up on a farm in rural Swaziland, a small country in Southern Africa, surrounded by dogs, cats, cattle and a variety of interesting wildlife.

There is no doubt that this amazing team saved our beautiful goldie Tegan following an unexpected emergency surgery at our regular vet that day, after which she took a turn for the worse. Thanks is not enough to both of the veterinary practices involved that day. We are eternally grateful for everything that both teams did to pull our girl through that 48 hour period. At 12.5 years old there were never any guarantees, but Miss Tegan has now got an amazing new lease of life for which we are truly thankful.... especially given that the odds had suddenly and unexpectedly become heavily stacked against her. In my mind, the very personal care Tegan was given throughout the night at Medivet was literally life saving. Thank you so very much to everyone involved and for allowing us to take some time with her before we left her that night. It meant the world... as does having Tegan home and bouncing around like a puppy again!

We had to rush our precious cat here on Sunday, as he was having a diabetic hypoglycaemic episode, the care he had was second to none. I had to leave him over night, and the vets and nurses kept me up to date with phone calls, and had no problem with me calling them. We collected him on Monday night and was pretty much back to normal. They gave me some good advice, and talked me through what they were going to do, before they did it. He’s pretty much back to normal now - (Wednesday) and we are so grateful for their help. Would highly recommend them!

My dog buddy is my baby, he is my whole world. ive trusted them with him 3 times now and i am just thrilled with how professional and caring they are. the questions they ask like what his toilet commands are and his favourite treats and diet routine. when picking him up i heard all the vets and vet nurses hug him goodbye and tell him what a good boy he is. The practise is full of extremely caring staff and the reception is friendly and helpful. highly recommend :)

The team absolutely saved my dog's life. I'm so grateful to all the vets and the whole nursing staff who have taken care of my dog. Starting from the first night with the first vet Lyubima - she was very good and efficient, she even mentioned that they treat all animals the same with or without insurance (even though I have insurance), which really told me that they have fundamental respect for all animals brought to them for help. She really explained things well and was very reassuring, as was the nurse on nightshirt that day who was very kind and really lovely (her name might have been Georgie although I'm not sure if I got that right because I was asking for names but there were so many lovely nurses helping out that week). The next few days the vet Will was in charge and he was absolutely fantastic - he and the nurses noticed there was ulceration on my dog's tongue and immediately called me to both inform me of the fact and to reassure me that treatment for possible stomach ulcers had already begun. Will was very perceptive and he quickly realised that I was an anxious parent, so for the next few days he took extra time to reassure me about the progress. Will is a very kind and caring vet. It was obvious my dog was in very capable hands and receiving the best care from Will and all the other vets and such an excellent nursing team. The vet who surgically implanted a feeding tube for my dog might have been a vet called Manu (M something) although I didn't fully catch his name properly - he was also really amazing, explaining everything to me properly before and after the procedure. Thanks to him and others involved, a feeding tube was inserted and things started improving from that point onwards. The vet on the weekend (I think his name might have been Mitok, apologies if I've spelt names incorrectly) was very helpful and extremely friendly, and took extra time to speak to me when I went to visit my dog. Mitok really made everything less frightening during such a difficult time. Kerry explained everything really well to me before discharging my dog after 9 days of hospitalisation. Apologies that I didn't catch all the names of everyone who had been on the nursing team who took amazing care of my dog during his stay. I might have missed or gotten names of the vets wrong so apologies if that's the case. Overall, each person I spoke to or interacted with in person was friendly and caring, and it was obvious my dog really liked all of them and enjoyed the attention they gave him. Please pass on my thanks to the whole team.

The team at the Medivet 24 Hour in Woodstock took exceptional care of my elderly dog when she had a sudden stroke. They went above and beyond to keep me informed through frequent phone calls. The vets and nurses offered care I would expect to be given to VIP humans. They treated my dog as a member of my family. Aggie realised my dog would be more comfortable at home, and the team worked quickly to make her well enough to return home. I will always be grateful for their professionalism, knowledge and quick response to her needs.

When our cat needed emergency treatment, although I was unable to get an appointment for her in the branch closest to me, another appointment was arranged at another branch straight away. The service we received was kind, compassionate and professional. The cat is now happy, so we are too.
