Medivet has been honoured for its Saving The Rhino campaign and the generosity of clients who have supported the initiative.

Pennies*, the digital charity box, presented Medivet with the Accelerating Consumer Engagement Award for its team’s efforts in putting the worthy cause front of mind with clients.

Over the past four years, customers at Medivet’s 300 practices have made one million donations through the Pennies portal – raising £500,000 for the cause. Medivet clients are offered the opportunity to add 50 pence to their veterinary bill to support the Saving The Rhino campaign.

This award is a testament to the passion that our colleagues right across the business have for this campaign.

The funds raised have played a crucial role in helping to protect the rhino - enabling Wilderness Foundation Africa to support these critically endangered animals across a wide range of activities.

The prestigious award, one of only three handed out at The Pennies Autumn Celebration, was presented to Medivet’s COO Kevin Morris by Pennies CEO Alison Hutchinson, CBE.

“Medivet continues to be among the best in class when it comes to engaging their clients in this important cause – and making sure everyone knows exactly how that money is spent,” said Alison. “I could not be happier to present this award to Medivet for their incredible work and wish them continued success with their efforts.”

“This award is a testament to the passion that our colleagues right across the business have for this campaign and the special place it has in the hearts of our clients who continue to be so generous with their donations,” said Kevin.

“It’s an absolute honour to be recognised by Pennies, who have been instrumental in helping us support the important work being done by Wilderness Foundation Africa.”
