Safe Collection and Postal Delivery

We continue to offer contactless collection or postal delivery of medication that you may need for your pet.

Regular and preventative care is important, and we’re offering this service to ensure that you always have safe access to the medication that you need to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Our team can help with:

  • Flea and worm medication
  • Prescribed/regular medication that your pet needs*
  • Food necessary for special diets or purchased from our practices

To order medication, food, or other items please contact your practice. They will place your order and advise you when your order will be available for collection. In most cases, they will need at least 48 hours to prepare your order.

In line with guidelines from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), please be aware that for some medications your vet may need to see your pet at the practice before the medication can be prescribed. For vulnerable clients, please be assured that we will carry this out in a Covid secure manner; aside from these necessary checks you can use our contactless collection or delivery service in the same way. Contactless Collection

The easiest and quickest way to obtain your medication is to place an order and arrange collection directly from the practice. You can pay for this over the phone, so there’s no need for any person to person contact at the practice.

  • Please phone us to discuss and request medication. Our team will be able to advise you when your medication will be available to collect.
  • Please only visit the practice once we have confirmed with you that your order is ready and only attend at the agreed time.
  • On arrival at the practice, please call us and we’ll advise of next steps.

Postal Delivery


If it isn’t possible for you to get to the practice or arrange for anybody else to help you, we can arrange to post your medication to you. Again, you should contact your practice and they can explain the timings and exactly how this will work as well as arranging payment.

Things to remember for postal delivery:

  • Please phone us and we’ll place your order and discuss timings. Please be aware we may need to order your medication from a supplier before we’re able to post it to you. We will endeavour to get your medication ready for posting as quickly as possible.
  • The order needs to be under 1kg and able to fit in a post-box and of course through your letterbox. We will discuss this with you when you place the order. This service is not suitable for ordering food.
  • Please factor Royal Mail delivery timings into your own timing expectations. For urgent medication requirements, contactless collection is the best option.
  • Please bear in mind that there’ll be an additional cost for the postal delivery service.

Medivet is committed to supporting our clients and pets even at this difficult time and we remain open as usual. Covid Secure Appointments

As things continue to return to normal in line with government guidelines, our practices continue to work hard to bring the regular care of all pets back up to date. Protecting our colleagues and clients remains a high priority, but many of our practices are beginning to allow clients back inside the practice.

This remains dependant on several factors and we appreciate your continued patience. In the event of local outbreaks, some practices may need to revert to contactless appointments.

We understand that wearing a mask is now a personal choice, but we kindly ask that you consider wearing a face mask during your appointment (unless you’re medically exempt) And continue to maintain social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your support.
