Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our practice in South Yorkshire and lead the nursing team as Head Veterinary Nurse.

Dearne Valley is a purpose built veterinary hospital offers a safe and secure working environment in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Dearne Valley referrals is located near to Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley and is easily accessible for travelling referral cases from the A1M or M!

Dearne Valley has very good facilities including a new set of endoscopes, a new ultrasound machine with echocardiography, on site radiography, a new CT being installed and a visiting MRI service. In addition to the advantages of being able to plan the facilities such as the imaging suite and operating theatres from scratch, the chosen site has plenty of parking space for staff and clients and room to expand!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a team of two knowledgeable and skilled vets, four devoted nurses and lovely support staff.

There are also Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue and Clinical Nutrition referral services offered from the premises. As a 24 hour referral hospital there is always a Vet and Nurse on site to look after hospitalized cases.

This role would suit an experienced RVN with previous leadership experience or a confident RVN who is eager to take the next step into a head nurse role; you will be fully supported within your move and we will offer full management training with our dedicated in-house internal training team.

What you'll be doing?

Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team.
