Client Care Assistant - Part Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a Client Care Assistant to join our friendly Southgate practice on a part-time basis. 

Hours; Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm with the option to pick up extra shifts.

The role would suit a proactive, team player who is confident and/or experienced in animal handling, as the vets may require assistance from time to time.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and attention to detail. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.

Duties include:

  • Welcoming clients and patients into the clinic
  • Managing client appointments and enquiries, in collaboration with the vets
  • Ensuring client records are kept up-to-date
  • Assisting vets with animal handling when required
  • Discussing preventative health care with clients, i.e. vaccinations flea and worm treatments
  • Managing stock, including sourcing, pricing and data-entry
  • Managing the switchboard and practice inboxes
  • Liaising with clients over the phone and email including reminders, promotions, orders etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of account/invoice information
  • Assisting the vet with insurance claims and prompt execution and any reconciliation necessary
  • Ensuring the reception area is maintained at all times, including general cleaning.
