Job Description:

We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our practice in Ickenham, Middlesex.

This is a maternity cover contract which could be suited to an experienced RVN or a confident 3rd year student. 

About the role;

Medivet Ickenham is a RCVS accredited practice, equipped with one consult room, theatre, dental equipment, in-house lab - you'll also have access to MRI, CT Imaging, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ECG at our local Medivet clinics.

The successful candidate will be joining a small and friendly team made up of experienced vet and one SVN. Here, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurse/s in your practice.

This practice is supported by our 24-hour hospital in Watford to continue the exceptional care for your clients and patients during out of hours.

All of our head nurses are provided with dedicated support from our Support Centre. Here, the stress of managing your rota, recruitment, H&S, practice standards, marketing (and much more!) is taken care of, and while there are still admin duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!

This role offers registered nurses a salary of £27,300 - £28,351 per annum, depending on experience. £300 CPD allowance plus 2 days CPD leave and in-house training, RCVS and BVNA membership. Please note the salary will differ for a 3rd year student. 

Hours: 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekends with TOIL.
