We are seeking a Night Veterinary Nurse to join our 24-hour centre in Watford.
This is an exciting opportunity suited to someone who is passionate about emergency and critical care.
The role would be suited to a newly qualified nurse or an experienced RVN eager for a new challenge.
We require someone who thrives under pressure with exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will know both how to delegate as well as when it's appropriate to utilise our on-call rota. You will be happy to train other team members and provide thorough hand-overs to ensure a smooth, efficient transition for the day team.
The hours are 7-nights on, 7-nights off rota - Monday to Sunday, 8pm-8am.
You will be provided with a approx. 2 weeks training in the hospital where you will also shadow during the night shift.
About the practice;
Medivet Watford is an established hospital led by Branch Partners, Candice and Andrea.
It is excellently equipped with three consult rooms, two theatres including orthopaedic, ultrasound, extensive lab, separate isolation, x-ray room and cat and dog wards, endoscopy, digital x-ray and dentistry facilities.
Medivet Watford has a large day and night team of six, twelve nurses and five receptionists. The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced night vet with our on-call rota available to you should you need additional support.
Here, you will provide dedicated support to the hospitals patients and the sixteen surrounding Medivet branches, responsible for looking after the inpatients, dealing with emergencies, reception duties and maintaining clinic cleanliness.
This role is offered a salary of £31,849-£33,028 per annum, depending on experience with 14 days holiday, RCVS and BVNA fees paid, £300 CPD with 2 days CPD leave.
