Job Description:

Do you want to work in London? Do you want to work in a well-respected and well established practice? Do you want to have the time you need to build great relationships with your clients and to work up your cases? Would you like to develop new skills and progress as a Veterinary Surgeon?

About the practice:

We have a full time role available for the right vet based in Beckenham, London Borough of Bromley. This 7 vet practice has 4 day vets and 3 night vets, 3 consult rooms, 2 theatres and a team of 4 Nurses and 3 PCA's. Beckenham is a very nice part of suburban South London. Our clients are generally reasonably well off and keen to care for their pets to a very high standard. Connections to London are excellent by train, tram and road. The Beckenham practice is due to be fully refurbished by January 2019.

We have a loyal client base with a large proportion of insured pets allowing us to provide the gold standard care we always aim for.

What we are looking for:

You will be an RCVS registered vet with 4+ years experience of a high surgical case load. A certificate would be an advantage as would an interest in orthopaedics. and most importantly you will know how to look after your clients and their pets. Client and Patient care are our top two priorities so you must be a great communicator.

You will be working with a fantastic team including an extremely supportive Branch Partner who is very keen to help develop and mentor a new team member.

You will be working a 4 day week with 1 in 4 weekends or 1 in 2 saturdays

A fair share of the 2nd on-call (usually 2-3 weeks a year) very rarely called on due to dedicated night vets

A fair share of Bank Holidays between all the vets in the region, usually means that each vet covers approx. 2 Bank Holidays a year with time off provided in lieu

In addition you have the back-up and expertise to fall back on from our team based in the other branches in the area and our Sutton based hospital. This gives you the ability to be involved in the work-up and treatment/ management of all your cases - start to finish - under the guidance of our extremely experienced team.
