Quick and efficient testing at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratories is just one aspect of the exceptional care we offer.
At most of our practices, we have state-of-the-art in-house laboratories where we’re able to perform a range of tests to help us effectively diagnose and treat your pet.
Having an in-house lab means we can test for a wide variety of issues immediately, often getting results back in minutes.
This helps speed up the diagnosis of your pet, so we can begin treatment as quickly as possible. It minimises the disruption to your pet as they can stay in one place and don’t have to travel while they’re ill.
Because our pets can’t tell us how they’re feeling, quick on-site testing is incredibly useful and can be a lifesaver.
What do we use our in-house laboratories for?
We’re able to perform a number of tests needed for your pet’s care. These include:
- blood tests (e.g. biochemistry and haematology profiles)
- urine tests
- skin scrapes
- test for viruses (parvovirus, feline leukemia virus, and feline immunodeficiency virus)
- fecal exam and testing for intestinal parasites
- lungworm disease
- cytology of skin and ear samples
- pancreatitis testing
