Our Practice, Facilities and Services

We are Liverpools only dedicated 24-hour veterinary hospital providing you and your pet with the best possible care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are well-equipped with modern facilities that enable us to perform advanced veterinary treatment. We also offer a wide range of excellent services, including 15-minute consultations, minor and advanced surgery, dentistry, and same day lab results (where applicable). We're proud to host Liverpool's Veterinary Emergency Service where we provide a dedicated out-of-hours service to many other local practices. Feel free to give us a call if you need advice, we're a friendly team who are happy to help you and your pet!

Main entrance at the front of the building. Two large car parks to the side and rear of the practice.

  • Medications & Prescriptions
    We can provide repeat medications and prescriptions for ongoing conditions – ask us for details.

  • Fleas & Worming
    Regular flea and worming treatment to keep your pet – and house – free from pesky parasites.

  • ECG
    An electrocardiogram is used to study the electrical activity of the heart.

  • In-house Laboratory
    Our in-house laboratory allows us to run tests and provide same day results.

  • Vaccinations
    Vaccinations are essential for protecting your pet from a variety of life-threatening illnesses.

  • Operating Theatre
    Our state-of-the-art operating theatre allows us to perform all major surgery onsite.

  • Neutering
    The best way to prevent unplanned pregnancies; an important part of responsible pet ownership.

  • Microchipping
    A small and pain-free chip that helps reunite lost pets with their beloved owners.

  • Hospitalisation
    Your pet will receive continuous, high-quality care throughout their stay.

    Free client parking available onsite.

    We can provide 24-hour intensive care to critically ill patients.

    We can issue pet passports so your pet can join you on your holiday.

Medivet The Vets Alder 24 Hour Veterinary Hospital

We have our very own 24-hour veterinary clinic right here at our Alder practice, where our dedicated team will provide your companion with round-the-clock care in an emergency.

Here, we have access to state-of-the-art equipment which allows us to provide your pet with the highest standard of care. We also have 24-hour access to your pet’s clinical records – through our integrated system – so we can update you on your pet’s progress whenever you feel the need.
