Veterinary Surgeon

Before having qualified from Glasgow in 2006 I spent time seeing practice at Betavet and it’s only natural I came back here to work in 2015! After almost 20 years qualified I am still interested in all areas of veterinary medicine but mainly for me I enjoy helping the animals have as stress free a visit as possible and meeting their owners! In veterinary practice there is a huge variety of work which means no two days are the same however I do enjoy cardiology, having grown up with Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels that are genetically prone to heart disease. I also find feline medicine particularly fascinating as their physiology is so different to dogs in a large variety of ways. And last but not least I’m always delighted to see rabbits when they come in having undertaken courses in rabbit medicine. Mostly the satisfaction of examining a patient to find the root of the problem and finding a way to manage it to help both animal and owner makes my day. Away from work my time is spent with my two ponies and walking my two dogs, Monty a very excitable but loving working Cocker Spaniel and Skye, a Collie x Springer who loves to bark and keep Monty in check! I enjoy exploring new places and finding quiet pubs to have some nice food with my husband. He’s trying to get me into golf but still yet to book a lesson!! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends soon!

Lovely staff, very helpful, and my nervous dog was not too freaked out, which is a bigger deal than it sounds.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Actually can feel the genuine love for animal this vets has and they go above and beyond to make yourself and animal feel safe, secure and in professional hands. Now being at this vet for a while, it's an absolute treat visiting, for my furry babies to be looked after, as well as, the friendly atmosphere I enjoy myself

Very good service. My cat suffered a bite and was seen within an hour of phoning. Shame the NHS can't match this excellent level of service. More excellent service today!

Avoid at all costs !!! We were with bill and his wife who have just retired and even bill could not work with the new lead vet who is Glaswegian and had to go to Ireland to find a job when bill got rid of her, We had issues with one staff member who stole from our house at fishcross before going to work there but after discussing the situation with bill we continued to use the practice. When bill told us he was retiring we reopened our account with Cameron and Greg who had also got rid of this person . They have put the prices up now that bill and his wife have gone and the quality of service has dropped dramatically. Please don’t trust these new people with your beloved pets Honestly there are far better vets in the area as these people are not to be trusted.
