Symptom Checker

If you’re not sure whether your pet needs to see a vet, our quick and easy Symptom Checker can help. Answer a few simple questions about the signs of illness your pet is displaying and the checker will advise whether a trip to the vet is necessary and how urgently that specialist care should be given.

I graduated from Bristol University in 2014 and spent six months working in a mixed practice in Staffordshire before focusing on small animals. I joined the Biggin Hill team in May 2018 and I have a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. In my free time, I enjoy competitive squash at my local club and hill walking in the Highlands.

I graduated in Caceres, Spain three years ago and worked in a veterinary hospital in Alicante for a year before coming to the UK. I’ve been at Medivet for almost a year and a half and began working full time at Biggin Hill in September. I have four cats at home in Spain called Fermin, Lucky, Nano and Giny. In the UK, I have a rescue Ragdoll cat called Kai. I enjoy sports, reading and playing the piano.

I started my career at 16 years old at our dog boarding kennels in Oxted before starting my journey to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have a handsome nine-year-old Border Terrier called Basil and, when I’m not studying, I love to take him for walks and cycling in the Surrey countryside.

I joined Medivet nearly two years ago and started working permanently at Biggin Hill in June 2019. I used to work as a Patient Care Assistant before starting my training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. In my free time I see my friends, go for walks with family and have recently started aerial hoop. I also have a cat called Mason.

I’ve worked in the veterinary industry since 2002 and qualified as a nurse in 2007. I’m now an assessor and clinical coach for student nurses and I hold a certificate in Exotic Species. I joined the Biggin Hill team in 2018 and I particularly enjoy assisting with surgery and wound management. I love spending time with my two children and my pets; two dogs called Ronnie and Rogue, a cat called Phoenix and two chickens called Lucy and Black-Bea.

Quick replies to emails, always very helpful and were very caring recently when our chihuahua passed away. We have a new puppy and the vets checked him over and and gave advise. We recommend Darwin vets.

All staff are helpful, friendly, welcoming and kind. They are compassionate and reassuring. I always feel like I am the only customer. This is the first vet clinic where my dogs seem happy to go into. I feel like a partner in my dog's medical care not just a customer. All options are fully explained. THANK YOU for staying open during the lockdown.

Good regular and clear communication at all times; easy to park and to leave my pet; easy to contact and nice to see the same vet and nurses that my pet and I are used to.
