I qualified at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1980 and owned my own practice for 25 years before moving to the UK. I’ve been part of the Medivet Boston team for four years now and I’m blessed to work with such a lovely group of people. In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy the outdoors and travelling. I mostly take part in cycling but also enjoy walking, scuba diving, game viewing and aeroplanes of any shape and size.

I have a degree in Biological Sciences from Warwick and studied for my NVQ in Veterinary Nursing at the College of Animal Welfare to become a vet nurse. I've worked at the practice for 13 years, starting as student nurse and working up to head nurse. I enjoy gardening (helping to organise the village gardening club) walking, yoga and baking cakes to share with friends and family. I also have a feisty rabbit named Ester.

I have a National Diploma in Animal Care and have been a qualified care assistant for many years. I joined the practice 13 years ago after leaving school. In my spare time I play hockey locally and for the East of England team. I rescued my lovely adventure dog a year ago after he was abandoned at the practice. I'm happiest when I'm on the beach with my wife and dog.

Very friendly staff.Tony the vet was lovely with my dog. Put me at ease as I had a bad experience with the vet where I used to live. Am very happy to be using Medivet now for my 2 dogs. Thank you Tony and staff for making me feel at ease.

Have only had to use Medivet for my dogs yearly booster and kennel cough jab, but always found it easy to book an appointment. You get a reminder text the day before, staff have always been friendly and our Vet is very nice, easy to talk too and very informative with any questions you might have.

Had my dog registered there since a 8 week old puppy. Had his vaccinations done, staff handled him brilliantly, always polite and friendly. My dog is now 14 months old and was castrated on Tuesday. Again staff were brilliant with him. Dropped him off at 9am, had a phone call at 2pm saying everything went well and he came round just fine and could pick him up shortly. Sent home with a care sheet, buster collar and a few days of painkillers(a lot of vets don't bother with painkillers after). Post op check in 5 days which was included in the price. The vet even clipped my boys nails while he was under anesthetic (it's hard work with him awake) and didn't even charge me for it. Would definitely recommend Medivet Boston. Friendly helpful staff will do anything to help you and your pet.

Our cat has hyperthyroidism and his coat was extremely matted. Being an elderly cat not keen on being groomed/brushed, he was admitted for a "trim" - under sedation. Only his matted fur was shaved off - but it was obvious that the remainder of his coat had been brushed. He has always been looked after well and we cannot fault the care he has been given over the years.

Wonderful team - from the receptionists to the nurses and the vets themselves, everyone is kind and helpful. I’ve been with them for years - they saw my last dog from puppyhood to old age and end of life. I have their care plan for my present dog which is great value and means that all routine appointments (vaccination boosters, bi-annual health checks, and flea, tick and worm treatments) are all prepaid, which gives peace of mind and spreads the cost. They even send me email/text reminders when to book these appointments or collect medication. Cannot speak more highly of this lovely local practice.
