I qualified at the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1980 and owned my own practice for 25 years before moving to the UK. I’ve been part of the Medivet Boston team for four years now and I’m blessed to work with such a lovely group of people. In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy the outdoors and travelling. I mostly take part in cycling but also enjoy walking, scuba diving, game viewing and aeroplanes of any shape and size.

I have a degree in Biological Sciences from Warwick and studied for my NVQ in Veterinary Nursing at the College of Animal Welfare to become a vet nurse. I've worked at the practice for 13 years, starting as student nurse and working up to head nurse. I enjoy gardening (helping to organise the village gardening club) walking, yoga and baking cakes to share with friends and family. I also have a feisty rabbit named Ester.

I have a National Diploma in Animal Care and have been a qualified care assistant for many years. I joined the practice 13 years ago after leaving school. In my spare time I play hockey locally and for the East of England team. I rescued my lovely adventure dog a year ago after he was abandoned at the practice. I'm happiest when I'm on the beach with my wife and dog.

I joined the practice in February 2019 but have worked with animals for many years. I also hold a degree in Animal Biology from Edinburgh Napier University, and have over 10 years’ experience working with cats and dogs. I’m starting my vet nurse qualification in January 2020. Interestingly, I’ve previously lived in Spain and Peru. At home I have a small holding, including sheep, pigs, chickens, geese and goats. I really enjoy showing my sheep at local shows.

I joined the practice in 2001, starting as a student nurse and gaining my qualification whilst working. Since starting a family, I now work part-time and am currently on maternity leave with my second child. I completed my diploma and became a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 through the College of Animal Welfare. In 2017 I volunteered as Veterinary Nurse working with street animals in India. I also have two cats Trilby and Alan.

Don't recommend !!!! The Scottish vey Tried to say that our 10 year old staffie needed to be put to sleep as her back end had gone.... after the appointment charged us £157 !!! Took our staffie to SUTTERTON VETS and put her on steroids and pain killers and 3 months later she is good as new.... Running around like a pup !! We moved our 4 animals to SUTTERTON VETS without hesitation !! We wouldn't step foot in medivets again !! Sutterton vets have gone the extra mile for us and would recommend them to anyone ❤️

Contacted the practice after a cat had been visiting us for a couple of weeks. Spoke to Richard this morning, luckily the cat had been microchipped and he found / contacted the owner who said ‘Treacle’ had been missing since last April!!! Very friendly and helpful staff, both myself and Richard got a little emotional about the story (hope you dont mind me saying Richard?)...but this shows me that he genuinely cares for the animals and that speaks volumes. Thank you for helping me return this gorgeous cat to its human (although we will miss him visiting us) 🥰

Can be very challenging looking after a diabetic cat but as always whilst my cat is having a ‘wobble’ with her diabetes, very helpful at what can be an exceptionally worrying time, thank you Medivet for your help and advice as always 😊
