Lucie Hancox

Veterinary Surgeon

Lucie joined our team just before lockdown occurred in March 2020. Working alongside Chris, Lucie was a massive part of the Harvest team. After qualifying as a vet in Sydney in 1996, Lucie left to travel around Britain, working as a locum in Suffolk and Surrey. Two years later she met fellow vet and now husband, Andy. Lucie ran a busy practice in Epsom before joining us here at Harvest. With 20 years experience, her special interests are ophthalmology and small animal medicine. Lucie has a beautiful rescue lurcher called Mabel, who quite often comes with Lucie to the practice. In her spare time, she enjoys walking Mabel with Andy.

I took my dog to get her teeth looked at as she regularly needs them cleaned. We decided to come here to have the vets look at her. The vet said they would have to remove all of her teeth due to the plack coverage. We were horrified by this and took her to another vet for a second opinion. Who have scaled and polished her teeth and said they didn't have to remove any of her teeth and that they were perfectly healthy. Would not recommend this vet.

I highly recommend this vet. Always make you and your pet feel very welcomed the moment you walk through the door. My cocker spaniel is looked after very well! I couldn’t be happier!

Absolutely love Medivet as a "chain". Since having a bittersweet experience up in Forest Row with the lovely Alex, it made me change from downslink to the BBH practice as I knew it would be a great and caring place for my cats. The receptionist is the most lovely lady. She is always smiling, helpful and genuinely welcomed both us humans and our fur babies. The vet staff are also so gentle and lovely and explain things really well. The vet nurse was also lovely yesterday when I took my little Dougie for a post op check up. Mentioned that when he came around she was giving him cuddles and love which fills my heart as I am always terrified of leaving my fur babies as I love them more than life (yes, crazy cat lady here), so to know that the staff are giving them love and cuddles means everything. They will be terrified being away from home with strang smells etc so extremely grateful for the extra care they provide the animals. Proves that his is a passion and not just a job to them. Every post on FB people asking about vets I always recommend Medivet. So glad that we found them even if our first experience ended in a heartbreaking loss. Keep up the amazing work all of you and am glad to have Dougie and Poppet in the Medivet family.
