I embarked on my journey in veterinary medicine with a passion for nurturing the health and well-being of animals. After completing my education, earning a master's degree from Veterinary School in 2021, I delved into practical experience through an internship at a small animal clinic in Türkiye. Here, I gained invaluable hands-on experience and honed my skills in the care and treatment of companion animals. Eager to expand my horizons and explore new opportunities, I transitioned to the United Kingdom to join an international veterinary services company. In this role, I served as a Veterinarian specializing in performing official controls on behalf of the food standards agency. Over the course of one and a half years, I gained a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance protocols within the veterinary field. Despite the valuable experiences gained in regulatory work, my heart remained dedicated to the direct care of small animals and pets. Driven by this passion, I made the decision to transition back to clinical practice and joined a small animal clinic. Here, I am able to leverage my diverse background and expertise to provide compassionate care and medical attention to beloved pets, fulfilling my lifelong dedication to the health and happiness of animals.

I joined Medivet in August 2021. It is an amazing, sad, funny and stressful environment that makes the job worthwhile. I have two Romanian rescue dogs, Milo and Flori (both loveable nightmares who rule the house) and love to walk.

Always courteous and friendly staff at Catton Medivet. My appointment this time was booster vaccinations for my two cats, and a re-order of their flea/wormer medication. As usual, I was greeted in a warm manner and was seen on time. The vet was pleasant, helpful and kind. Can’t ask for anything more 😊 Click

Once called in, Dr Mehmet demonstrated genuine compassion and expertise. They took the time to thoroughly examine my pet, addressing all of my concerns with patience and a wealth of knowledge. What struck me most was their ability to communicate complex medical information in a way that was easy for me to understand. It's evident that Dr Mehmet truly cares about the well-being of animals and values the relationship between pets and their owners.

I used to bring my dog to this practice. He had life long progressive illnesses and I was alone so had no one to lean on for support. I was quite anxious about my dog, he was my world. On one occasion, after I'd paid and they'd thought I'd gone, I turned back and saw the receptionist Janet raise her eyebrows and tut and the vet Catherine laugh. There was obviously an in joke about me and my dog. I was very hurt. I stopped going after that and moved to Westover who were always kind and took the welfare of my poorly dog seriously and didn't treat me like a burden.
