I have been going to the practice for many years. A friendly and helpful team. Care for the pets well being and go the extra mile to help. Always make the pets and owners feel comfortable. Answer all questions and give good advice. Thank you for everything you have done to help my pets :D

My cat has been rapidly losing weight, vomiting and had diarrhoea since January. I've taken her many times to St. Runwalds and been seen by a different vet each time because they always seem to have quit by my next visit. None of the vets have been gentle or patient with my cat and now she's terrified of going. It's been over 8 months and my cat has got no diagnosis and no referrals for expert care despite my ongoing attempts. I wouldn't trust this practice with my pet at all but no other vets are taking on clients so I'm stuck with this one. I was seen by Rachel last week and she has now taken on the case. She's been fantastic so far and is also appalled at the lack of care my cat has received. This practice has taken so much of my money, but given zero results so far. Update: my beautiful cat took a turn not lot after this and we ended up having to put her down. They guessed she had intestinal cancer. Researching it for myself all the signs were there the whole time, I have no idea why they never picked it up after all the visits.

This is the best vets I have ever been to! The staff have deep care for animals and humans too- I’ve had two cats pass away in the time I’ve been with St Runwalds and they have gone to the trouble of sending cards each time. The vets have all been patient and kind when caring for our cats - truly wonderful!

8.30 appointment, vet came in later than that in civvies, said to the receptionist she was here. Then changed into scrubs, and came to reception to collect us. No apology for being late - I understand there are medical emergencies etc which can delay but this was clearly timekeeping. I don't understand why the vet tried to weigh a distressed animal on the scales rather than weighing the box which most vets at this practice have done. I am not sure that this particular vet who I will be requesting that I don't use again actually likes animals based on the way she handled my pet. Prices are really expensive since Medivet took over and an itemised receipt was not offered

Most useless vet in Colchester. Will rob you blind, no care in the world apart from taking your ££££. Change of staff constantly. Try moving appointments 20 minutes before you are due to arrive and expect you to wait hours for a booster. I have now found a vet that comes to my property, does 1 to 1 and he is half the price and knowledgeable. Doesn’t rob you off. Anyone in the Colchester area Atilla from House call vets is the best I have used. Stay clear of St Runwalds as they are as helpful as a chocolate kettle.
