I trained in New Zealand before coming to the UK and I’ve always worked in small animal practice. I’m currently studying towards a certificate in Small Animal Medicine, and I particularly enjoy performing ultrasounds. Outside of work, I like to walk my dog (a rescue Patterdale cross called Emmy), run and go on holiday with my family.

I graduated in 2007 and have been a small animal vet ever since. I enjoy different aspects of veterinary medicine and I have plenty of experience in all areas of soft tissue surgery. In my spare time, I enjoy sports, watching movies and reading books. I have two cats, that I adopted as stray kittens; they’re now eight and nine years old.

I first studied at Writtle College and gained my veterinary nurse qualification in 2012. I have worked in the Corringham practice for 13 years and I’m a self-confessed crazy cat lady. When I’m not at work, I love to travel and make memories with my cat Marvin, who I rescued in 2011 after he came into practice as a stray with a broken leg.

I’ve been with Medivet since November 2018, becoming a permanent member of the Corringham team in July 2018. I thoroughly enjoy my role in practice, particularly learning all aspects of nursing. Outside of work, I spend time with my two Chihuahuas called Benny and Buddy and my cat called Marmalade, who I hand-reared since birth.

After qualifying in 2002, I’ve worked in many different roles, including as Head Nurse and at referral practices. I’ve even spent time in a hospital in the Australian outback, working with a local kangaroo sanctuary and with the town’s resident snake expert. I love all animals, especially rabbits. I have three rabbits of my own called Donald Trump, Rapunzel and Grandad Eddie. I also enjoy having adventures with my children, music, food and gin.

I joined the practice in 2001 as a training nurse and worked my way up to Head Nurse before going on maternity leave. I then joined the office team at Corringham with a focus on training and administration side of nursing. I have completed a pet bereavement course and I also hold an occupational health certification in Managing Safely. I have a Jack Russell and five pet mice called Merida, Panda, Fizz, Boo and Dotty. I love to spend time with my daughter and family, as well as watching Netflix, reading and exploring paranormal activity.

From calling to book an appointment (with a preferred Veterinarian) through to the visit, the Practice Staff are always friendly, polite and incredibly helpful. I get a real sense that the Staff care for every animal that they assist, and I feel that my cats are always safe in their hands. My consultation with Vet Ceinwen was reassuring and provided me with the information I need to look after my cat's condition. I can't recommend the Practice enough!

Brilliant! All the safe in this place are lovely and so helpful. They really look after your fur baby's. My cat had to go in, they first checked her all over and took her weight then before the vet did any thing to my cat i.e japs, ,injections, tablets she told me the price first which I thought was really good so u knew exactly what u was going to be paying at the end. My cat had to have a blood test, they was so good with her she didn't even cry out and they was talking to her calmly and softly the whole so she felt relaxed. Thank u all for all u do x
