Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I have been Crowthorne's Lead Veterinary Surgeon since September 2018, after spending seven years at the Wokingham branch. I qualified in Italy in 2007 and worked there as a small and exotic animal vet. I've also worked at Bristol Zoo and a number of different practices in the UK, including a rotating internship at one of the lead referral practices for small animals in 2011. I have also completed a certificate in exotic animal practice in 2013. I love spending time with my two young children and my husband.

I joined the Crowthorne team in 2021, having worked in small animal practice since qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. I enjoy all aspects of first opinion work, and the variety of different problems we see. Outside of work, looking after our children and pets keeps me busy (we have a dog called Lily, a cat called Sprout and three guinea pigs) but I also enjoy running, baking, and playing the piano.

I have been with Medivet since 2019 after graduating in Poland and I joined Crowthorne team in 2021. After graduation I spent few months in a Small Animal Hospital in Portugal as a part of Erasmus internship. I enjoy every part of work in first opinion practice, but my special interests are in Diagnostic Imaging and I am currently doing certificate in that area. Outside of work I love hiking and exploring the nature.

Veterinary nursing is my Vocation. I have been with the company since 2010 and joined the wonderful Crowthorne team as their head nurse in 2019. I love all aspects of my job however I hold a particular interest in training nurses, canine behaviour and animal nutrition. My furbaby Ernest (pictured with me) keeps me busy outside of work, you will find us either honing our skills in agility or competitive obedience and going on lovely hikes exploring the beautiful British countryside.

I moved to our Crowthorne surgery in 2018 along with Selene and Sharyn. I joined the company in August 2015 as a receptionist at the Wokingham practice. I especially enjoyed that in addition to the cats and dogs, we saw the exotic animals also. I find the exotic pets very interesting. When Wokingham became the Medivet hospital branch in 2018, I happily followed our exotics vet Selene, to the Crowthorne branch in 2019. I currently don't have any pets myself, but love making a fuss of, when I can, many of the different animals that come through our doors and enjoy meeting and greeting all our lovely clients.

Please do not use the avian vet here! I was concerned about my cockatiels wing after he injured it. She said it was fine and completely neglected to treat it properly. A week later I came back to her again because my concerns grew larger as he was looking more and more poorly. Due to the fact she failed to treat him correctly initially, her immediate next step was to amputate his wing. This was very traumatic for me to hear and because she went from saying his wing is fine to now this extreme measure of amputation, I was both upset and angry. I decided not to trust her anymore and therefore I went to another avian vet who said that this measure was not necessary and treated the wing properly. My cockatiel is luckily still flying because of my judgement. I am worried about how many people would have blindly trusted her with their pets in this scenario. Please avoid her and go to a better avian vet! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After reviewing the response to this review, I can assure you that their statement is false. The amputation route was not discussed as an option. I asked if there is any way to save the wing and was told that amputation was the only way. Please do not spread false information about what actually happened. I am grateful I went elsewhere for a second opinion. I can't speak for other animals but if you have a pet bird then please go to a better qualified avian vet!
