Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2012 and have spent my time working in companion animal clinics in South Wales. I joined Medivet in 2018 as a mobile vet working within the six practices. I became a branch partner in the Dinas Powys clinic in December 2022. I enjoy all aspects of the role but am particularly fond of medicine, rabbits and guinea pigs. My hobbies include fishkeeping, knitting and crocheting. In my spare time I can normally be found looking after my cats, dog, turtles and fish.

I started as a SVN in Merthyr Medivet in 2015 and graduated from Harper Adams university in September 2018 . I worked as a mobile RVN for 9 clinics until March 2020 when I accepted a secondment HRVN role for our Cowbridge clinic. In September 2020 I accepted a permanent HRVN role in Llandaff North. I bought my first house in 2022 and due to a change of location I applied for a position in our Dinas clinic in April 2022. I enjoyed working within all the Medivet clinics but I especially love the Dinas team and practice. I am a clinical coach and enjoy training and encouraging SVNs in their career. I am currently completing a vgm/ilm certificate in veterinary leadership and management and in my spare time I enjoy travelling, exercising and walking Tillie my Cairn terrier.

Ellie, Megan & the rest of the team do a great job looking after our two cats. We particularly appreciated their help when one of our cats was seriously injured. She's made a remarkable recovery! The treatment is thorough, the staff are attentive, kind & friendly.

So took my dog as he had a bad ear. I was charged 30 pounds for an ear smear as the vet said she doubt he would let her look in his ear. After doing the ear smear, she duly looked into his ear anyway as she said he was OK with the swab. My question is, why not just look in the first place as I have now been charged 30 pounds for an unnecessary procedure. I was also charged 40.58 for 15ml of surolan. I can purchase this over the counter for 16.39. Exact same make. Equally the otodine I was charged 26.85 for. Again can purchase online for 14.75. So massively been overcharged and will never return and will not be recommending to anyone!

Friendly staff, efficient service and the Vet who looked after my cat was very gentle and caring. As a new customer I was desperate for a local Vet to check over my poorly cat, one call and they booked me an appointment right away. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic service from Dinas Vets, particularly Ellie. I had a very very injured hamster and she didn't hesitate to see him as soon as I asked. Giving fantastic treatment, quickly. I love her confidence with small furries! little creatures matter too, and she doesn't treat them with any less love or respect! hamster is now absolutely fine thanks to her!
