I look after your furry friends at night. Therefore you might hear me over the phone rather than in person. At home I have two lazy guinea pigs called Ethel and Viv, and a dog called Tillie. In my spare time I enjoy riding horses and seeing my friends.

I started my role as a mobile PCA for Medivet in September 2018. I have always had a strong passion for animal care and welfare, and before I joined Medivet, I achieved my certificate in Animal Nursing Assistance. This has driven me to progress my career in the Veterinary field and I aspire to train to become a Veterinary Nurse. In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the cinema and looking after my Syrian hamster, Mabel.

To everyone at Medivet Faversham ……especially the truly marvellous Raeik, “Thank you so, so much for taking care of our dear Shinshu Tzu dog Bertie. It’s certainly been a long 5 months since Bertie suffered a freak accident in our garden while playing with his sister Bella. After taking him to our local vet we were told he would need a leg amputation after discovering from the x – ray he had numerous fractures and at least 5 breaks in his leg. It was terrible news … news that we just couldn’t comprehend. However, our older son then thankfully got in touch with Medivet and the wonderful Ryk. Ryk agreed to organise an animal ambulance – rushed him over to the Faversham practice. Following a second x ray and further examination Ryk took on the challenge … one of his biggest and most complex to date. Ryk managed to fit within Bertie’s tiny leg 2 titanium rods with attached pins in an effort to save his leg. Then followed some very difficult weeks where Bertie had to be fully caged bound in an attempt to support his recovery – he also had to wear a protective balloon pillow around his neck to avoid him licking his wound – he was dosed up with medication for quite a few weeks. During this period Bertie was heavily relied on my wife and myself – lifting him in and out the cage at regular intervals for his toilets needs was also difficult, physical and exhausting. Although it was touch and go whether the procedure would be successful gradually with time, following regular monitor visits to Ryk, Bertie began to show movement in the damaged leg. His inseparable sister Bella was so pleased. Finally, Ryk saw Bertie again this week (Wed 17th Nov 2021) and reported that whilst he couldn’t ever guarantee that he would be 100% - he was confident that his damaged leg would eventually have about 80/90% movement in the leg. Thank you so much for taking great care of him ……. and us xxxxxx Ryk you are certainly a very skilled vet and a wonderful man x

The practice is big enough to offer great services and investigations, yet still small enough to provide love and care to my fur family as well as my family. Always friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Amazing and thank you for consistently keeping up your high standards.

We were referred to Medivets in Faversham following our cat Dave being hit by a car and needing orthopaedic surgery to save his leg, which happened on a Friday of a bank holiday weekend. Medivets squeezed Dave in for his surgery Saturday morning. The nurses were all amazing. In particular Becky who looked after Dave during his visit and the veterinary surgeon Ryk who did an amazing job attaching a titanium plate to Daves femur. The communication was brilliant, the aftercare has been great. Cannot fault them at all! Amazing!
