I graduated from Maisons Alfort near Paris in 1998 and worked in France as a Vet Surgeon for eight years. We then moved to England in 2006 and I have been working part-time to raise my children. I gradually developed an interest in imaging, particularly ultrasonography and joined Medivet Guildford in March 2018. When I’m not working and my family spares me some time, I walk our crossbreed, Loki, in the woods for hours and I paint in my studio. I exhibit in art fairs when I can.

I qualified from the University of Bristol in 2009 and spent my first three years working in Suffolk before moving back down to London. I spent some time working between different practices around London and Surrey, including Guildford, before moving here permanently in 2014. I enjoy all aspects of being a vet, but I’m particularly interested in internal medicine and imaging. I’m currently unable to have pets of my own so make up for it by walking my colleagues’ dogs.

I qualified as a vet in 1995 from the Royal Veterinary College, London. I have a special interest in surgery and teaching surgery. I enjoy repairing fractures, torn ligaments and doing spinal surgery, helping paralysed pets to walk again. I enjoy doing educational talks to dog walking groups, agility clubs, Greyfriars and Surrey police dog trainers. I have two boys Tomas and Ethan and I have a cat called Cherry who has chronic cat flu, but she doesn’t let this hold her back. She is quite a character and a much-loved family pet.

I graduated from Athlone Institute of Technology in 2014 with BSc in Veterinary Nursing and I’m currently studying to obtain my Emergency and Critical Care certificate. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, especially emergency care, nurse consults and anaesthesia. I love all animals and really can't decide if I am a dog or cat person. I have two cats, Phoebe and Wallace. As well as spending time with them, I enjoy going to the gym, hiking and baking.

I started working at Medivet in August 2018 as a Patient Care Assistant and hope to start as a Student Veterinary Nurse in September 2019. I studied an Animal Management Level 3 Diploma at Sparsholt College in Winchester and I knew nursing was what I wanted to do. I’m interested in wildlife conservation and in 2014, I volunteered in Thailand at an elephant sanctuary and loved every moment. At home, I have a Labrador called Ozzy and a lop-eared rabbit called Mrs Bunn, who I rehomed after she was brought into a nearby practice.

I joined the practice in September 2017 and I’m currently in the process of training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I previously studied Equine Management at Merrist Wood College for two years before joining Medivet in 2016. I have always known I wanted to work with animals. I have four cats and one dog who I love spending time with. I enjoy taking my dog to the beach, travelling and playing the piano. I would like to have my own horse and Bernese Mountain dogs.

I joined Medivet in February 2018 as a second year Student Veterinary Nurse. I have since qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in May 2019. I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals from growing up with dogs and cats as a child. I also used to work as a dog groomer which I really enjoyed, but wanted a role that was more involved; being a nurse has been the best choice I ever made.

I joined the practice in April 2004 after working in retail for many years. I have a rescue cat called Mia who is always up to no good. She's a mischievous girl, constantly terrorising my daughter’s cat Bow, and ambushing the local mice and birds in the area. I also have a tortoise called Myrtle who was brought into the practice as a stray. She is estimated to be about 20 years old and has bags of personality; she keeps the cats on their toes. In my spare time, I love socialising and going on holiday, especially to visit my son who lives in Australia.

I joined the practice in 2010 and, as a passionate animal lover, I really enjoy my job as a receptionist and puppy and kitten cuddler. I managed to resist for 10 months before adopting Ellie my first rescue dog, then two years later I took on Taz - they are known as the ‘Tims Twins’ because they are so alike. My husband and I enjoy walking with our dogs, travelling and motorbiking in our spare time.

After having my son in 2017, I wanted to do something different that gave me more of a home and work life balance, so a job working with animals and their owners seemed like a very good option. I subsequently joined the Guildford practice in 2018. I have an old rescue Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Moo (born 2007) who I rehomed from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Before that, I had a Staffy called Scrumpy. Moo has a beautiful nature and her and my son are inseparable - he often likes to tell other dog walkers about 'his' dog and Moo is constantly by his side.

After working in financial services for a number of years my role was sadly made redundant. While job searching, I saw the advert for a role at Medivet Guildford and immediately knew it was the right job for me. Since joining the practice in April 2015, I love coming to work every day and meeting all of the lovely clients and their gorgeous pets. I am owned by four Miniature Dachshunds who are my world – Roxy, Maddax, Dixie and Pixie – they definitely rule the roost in my house. I enjoy walking, swimming and socialising with friends and family.

Jo the vet is extremely knowledgable, approachable, friendly, down to earth and professional. Excellent mannerism. Not afraid to ask her anything. Great way about her, with animals and most of all my puppy Alfie. All the reception staff are also helpful, friendly and professional and only to pleased to help and assist with any problems or queries. A great veterinary practice all round!!! Julie de Filippis

Ive been here a few times with my hamsters and have had a couple put to sleep here, the staff are the most kindest and understanding. They treated my pets like their own, part of the reason I cry when I've had my hamsters put to sleep is because of the kind words spoken to me by everyone in the surgery, everybody comes over to give you a hug! Really lovely vets a right gem on my doorstep!!

Staff are lovely and friendly. It was nice to spoken to and not talked at and expected to know everything. I also liked how my children were involved with the consultation and not blanked.

My pets came here when it was Stockton Road vetenary practice and I have remained with them as Medivet. In nearly twenty years with them they have never let me down. They have always shown such professionalism , they don't only care about the pets they treat but the owners too, the staff all have pets of their own and they understand that they are not just pets, they are family. I've recently had to take my cat Precious to them and she had to have an operation, I left my beautiful girl in their care knowing she was in kind and loving hands. I will never leave this practice, they are simply the best.

I used this vets for 15.5 years with my previous dog and I know I wouldn't have had her that long if it wasn't for the care of this vets. Excellent service. I now have another dog and, although this vet isn't my closest, I wouldn't take my beloved dog anywhere else. I trust their care and advice.

Fantastic Christmas Eve emergency service from the staff here after my dog ate a mince pie. Even though it was 10pm on Christmas Eve the staff were all so lovely, welcoming and efficient. Thanks so much for ensuring we can celebrate Christmas again this year!
