I was born in Lahori, Pakistan and qualified in 1998 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Before passing my vet exams in 2002 I worked as an Animal Health Officer for DEFRA during the Foot and Mouth Outbreak in 2001 and in veterinary pharmaceutical sales. I’ve also completed a Masters’ in Animal Reproduction and am a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. I’ve been with Medivet Hayes for over 10 years, starting as a vet and becoming a partner after only six months. In my spare time I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. At home I have a tabby cat called Tigger, brought into Medivet Hayes as a stray.

I’ve been at the practice for just over two years and worked as a mobile Patient Care Assistant for the South West region before that. I’ve completed a Level 3 Animal Management Diploma and am due to qualify in 2021. I’ve also previously volunteered on a farm which spurred an interest in livestock animals. In my spare time I enjoy reading veterinary nursing journals. At home I have a cute ginger tabby cat called Winston and hope to own a Sphinx cat someday. I’ve also owned rescue battery hens for several years.

Friendly staff and very professional team. I registered my cat months ago, first vaccinations, microchip and him neutered yesterday. The surgeon Paloma was delightful, she explained everything perfectly and she spent time playing with my kitten until he felt comfortable with her. I do appreciate the care. Today they called me checking on him and asking if he is acting/eating normal after the procedure. In addition, they are always very flexible in terms of appointments, they adjust to my schedules. I’m very happy with them.
