I've been practice manager since 2011. I run the practice along with my wife and head vet Louise. Having worked in the pet and aquatics trade my entire life, I was keen to manage the practice with Louise in order to offer a high standard of customer care for all breeds of pets.

I grew up surrounded by birds and other animals, sparking my interest in a veterinary career. I decided to specialise in exotic medicine – a subject I've always been passionate about. After working in practices for years, I recognised a need for better services for all species and took over management in 2009 alongside my husband, Stuart. I'm now the East of England representative to the British Veterinary Association Council. We live with our son, Alex and miniature schnauzer, Humphrey.

I joined THE team having previously been working in Scotland. I have a special interest in exotic animal medicine and surgery as well as ultrasonography and surgery in dog and cat patients. I own a pet cockatiel named Taco. My interest in animals started at an early age as I grew up surrounded by them. I'm also interested in sport, reading, nature and travel.

I originally planned to work in conservation and then on acquiring my first bearded dragon -a "very spoiled" Ziggy realised I wanted a more 'hands on' practical job and hence became a vet, specialising in exotics.

I'm Louise’s sister and have been a part of the team for over eight years with a total of 17 years veterinary experience. I'm happy to see anything scaly, furry or feathery and have always had a strong interest in science. This teamed with my strong love of animals led to a career as a veterinary surgeon. With two lion-haired rabbits, chickens, four giant African land snails and my nine-year-old daughter Madeline to entertain, my hands are pretty full outside of surgery time. In any spare time I enjoy travelling the country in support of my partner Daniel and his stock-car racing hobby.

From a young age I've had a drive to become a vet; many weeks as an undergraduate at the practice sparked my interest for exotic animal medicine as well as cardiology and neurology. I'm passionate about animal health and welfare. My interests include travelling (having been to New Zealand in my gap year), reading, fitness, environmentalism and sustainability.

Head Veterinary Nurse

I qualified in 1992 as a vet nurse and joined the team in April 2018 as Head Nurse. I lived in Canada for a while and was employed at an emergency clinic, among others, where I developed an interest in emergency and critical care work. After growing up surrounded by dogs and cats (and the occasional rabbit, guinea pig and many hamsters), I always knew I wanted to be a veterinary nurse. I'm also proud to have trained many student nurses, and have an award in dog training and behaviour, which is my favourite area of interest. At home I have a 10-year-old border collie called Taylor and enjoy walking and training her. I'm also an avid fan of TV crime series'

I've worked as a nurse for five years, gaining my Diploma and Registered VN status in 2016. I'm particularly interested in Nutrition and Weight Clinics, and am working towards the Veterinary Nursing Advanced Programme for Exotics and Wildlife. I've always loved animals and knew from a young age that this was my ambition. In my spare time I walk the dogs and love kayaking and spending time with my family. I share my home with two dogs, Dexter and Raffy, Bagheera the cat, Timone and Pumba the guinea pigs, Nala the Leopard Gecko and Will the corn snake.

After joining the practice on my placement I passed and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and joined the team full time from July 2018. I enjoy looking after our in-patients and giving them lots of fuss and attention. I'm hoping to do my Certificate in Advanced Exotic Nursing next. At home I have a dog Luna, two rats Fred and George and some pet fish. In my spare time I love horse riding and scuba diving.

I have a foundation degree in Veterinary Nursing, with my expertise being in exotics and surgical nursing. I've worked with the practice for three years during my training and returned full-time in 2017 as a qualified nurse. I've always loved and been around animals growing up and have two dogs – Archie and Charlie. I enjoy travelling, volunteering abroad with animals, swimming, shopping and beach walks with the dogs.

After deciding that a graphic design degree wasn’t right for me, I trained and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. After working in the industry for over 27 years, I joined the practice in November 2015. When not working, I enjoy walking the dog and gardening. I also have a creative side, with a interest in arts and crafts including knitting, quilting and sewing. At home, I'm a pet-parent to a clan of five; Stanley and Pixie the dogs, Charlie and Luna the cats and Oreo and Humphrey the guinea pigs.

I've worked at the practice since January 2015. With many years experience in veterinary nursing, I oversee our puppy classes. I also have my own pet tortoise and look after our tortoise patients. Veterinary nursing was never the plan for my career; originally I was interested in human nursing, instead my path led me to a career in veterinary nursing and I've never looked back. Outside of work I enjoy boating, socialising, reading and walking.

Client Care Assistant

I joined the team in February 2015. With many years experience working in the pet retail trade, I've gained experience and qualifications in dog nutrition, flea and worm treatments and dog training. I've always had a strong interest in animals, more specifically their behaviour and so a career in practice seemed to be the perfect fit. At home, I live in Salhouse and have my own labradoodle, Max, who is only a year and a half old. I also enjoy travelling, camping and watching films with my husband Carl.
