I've been practice manager since 2011. I run the practice along with my wife and head vet Louise. Having worked in the pet and aquatics trade my entire life, I was keen to manage the practice with Louise in order to offer a high standard of customer care for all breeds of pets.

I grew up surrounded by birds and other animals, sparking my interest in a veterinary career. I decided to specialise in exotic medicine – a subject I've always been passionate about. After working in practices for years, I recognised a need for better services for all species and took over management in 2009 alongside my husband, Stuart. I'm now the East of England representative to the British Veterinary Association Council. We live with our son, Alex and miniature schnauzer, Humphrey.

I joined THE team having previously been working in Scotland. I have a special interest in exotic animal medicine and surgery as well as ultrasonography and surgery in dog and cat patients. I own a pet cockatiel named Taco. My interest in animals started at an early age as I grew up surrounded by them. I'm also interested in sport, reading, nature and travel.

I originally planned to work in conservation and then on acquiring my first bearded dragon -a "very spoiled" Ziggy realised I wanted a more 'hands on' practical job and hence became a vet, specialising in exotics.

I'm Louise’s sister and have been a part of the team for over eight years with a total of 17 years veterinary experience. I'm happy to see anything scaly, furry or feathery and have always had a strong interest in science. This teamed with my strong love of animals led to a career as a veterinary surgeon. With two lion-haired rabbits, chickens, four giant African land snails and my nine-year-old daughter Madeline to entertain, my hands are pretty full outside of surgery time. In any spare time I enjoy travelling the country in support of my partner Daniel and his stock-car racing hobby.

From a young age I've had a drive to become a vet; many weeks as an undergraduate at the practice sparked my interest for exotic animal medicine as well as cardiology and neurology. I'm passionate about animal health and welfare. My interests include travelling (having been to New Zealand in my gap year), reading, fitness, environmentalism and sustainability.

Head Veterinary Nurse

I qualified in 1992 as a vet nurse and joined the team in April 2018 as Head Nurse. I lived in Canada for a while and was employed at an emergency clinic, among others, where I developed an interest in emergency and critical care work. After growing up surrounded by dogs and cats (and the occasional rabbit, guinea pig and many hamsters), I always knew I wanted to be a veterinary nurse. I'm also proud to have trained many student nurses, and have an award in dog training and behaviour, which is my favourite area of interest. At home I have a 10-year-old border collie called Taylor and enjoy walking and training her. I'm also an avid fan of TV crime series'

I've worked as a nurse for five years, gaining my Diploma and Registered VN status in 2016. I'm particularly interested in Nutrition and Weight Clinics, and am working towards the Veterinary Nursing Advanced Programme for Exotics and Wildlife. I've always loved animals and knew from a young age that this was my ambition. In my spare time I walk the dogs and love kayaking and spending time with my family. I share my home with two dogs, Dexter and Raffy, Bagheera the cat, Timone and Pumba the guinea pigs, Nala the Leopard Gecko and Will the corn snake.

I have a foundation degree in Veterinary Nursing, with my expertise being in exotics and surgical nursing. I've worked with the practice for three years during my training and returned full-time in 2017 as a qualified nurse. I've always loved and been around animals growing up and have two dogs – Archie and Charlie. I enjoy travelling, volunteering abroad with animals, swimming, shopping and beach walks with the dogs.

After deciding that a graphic design degree wasn’t right for me, I trained and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. After working in the industry for over 27 years, I joined the practice in November 2015. When not working, I enjoy walking the dog and gardening. I also have a creative side, with a interest in arts and crafts including knitting, quilting and sewing. At home, I'm a pet-parent to a clan of five; Stanley and Pixie the dogs, Charlie and Luna the cats and Oreo and Humphrey the guinea pigs.

I honestly cannot praise the team at All Creatures highly enough for the recent care of our beloved rabbit. We had been to our own vets and sorry to say we were palmed off with the attitude ‘it’s only a rabbit’ so the next day contacted all creatures as we knew our bunny was very poorly. From the moment I rang and spoke to Sandra on reception I knew they were a team to trust. We were offered an appointment straight away due to the severity of our bunnies condition, vet Olivia was fantastic, her knowledge and skill was amazing and above all else the compassion and care she showed to me helped so much, especially during these difficult times when clients are unable to enter the practice. Our rabbit was hospitalised and sadly had to be put to sleep due to the severity of her condition, but I know that she had the best care possible. I was kept up to date with everything that was happening and Olivia called me several times in just a few hours to give updates and reassure me. All the team are professional and caring and you can see how hard they work to care for all their patients and clients. We received a beautiful condolence card in the post, which even had paw prints from our bunny. Thank you Sandra & Olivia for your amazing care and all the team involved in caring for Deandra. My only regret is not taking Deandra to you in the first place. Thank you all for everything you do.

Thank you ever so much for helping our African Grey today at such short notice. He's not been to a vets in the whole 10 years we have had him and it's so nice to hear how well behaved and healthy he is. He's happy to be back home and is eating away. We've tried him with the new food you recommended but he wasn't impressed 😂 so have crushed it up and sprinkled it over a bowl of fruit and veg instead. Baby steps but I'm sure he will be fully converted in a few months after a little perseverance. Thank you again from Captain Squawks and family.

Had to have a lizard put down recently, my partner was in bits but according to him, they handled it very well, gave him the time he needed and were very kind. We can't pick up her ashes yet and they've been very understanding due to lockdown, and distance.

When I visited ACHC the staff were very friendly and understanding and I knew my gerbil was in the best care and the staff was there every step of the way right until the end. I couldn't of asked for more, I highly recommend this vet they will look after your pet and give you knowledgeable information. Thank you ACHC 🙂

Not used them before, but vets treating exotic animals are hard to find. An expectedly sad outcome for our poorly tree frog, but professional and compassionate service from initial phone call through to our appointment. Quite rightly, not afraid to check our animal husbandry knowledge (important with any pet, but especially with exotics) which also reassured us that the vet herself was familiar with more than just cats and dogs. Sorry I didn't remember the names of the receptionist and vet, both were a credit to the company.

Couldn’t recommended them enough, all the staff are super helpful & knowledgable. Even when they had no appointments avalaible they were quick to take action on my poorly rabbit, booking him in for an emergency appointment and then booking him in the following day for a a dental under GA. They even called the following day to check up on him! Thanks to the team he was back to his happy self in no time. Thank you!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice We've had nothing but positive experiences at all creature's healthcare, none more so than during a very difficult period last week, a massive thank you to Sally, Marco, & the whole team for the care of our beloved border collie Max,& when his condition rapidly deteriorated Friday night Marco was on hand early Saturday morning with exemplary end of life care, not only that his caring compassionate attitude with Andy and myself was second to none, these guys are working 24/7 under extremely challenging circumstances in this current climate, thank you Sally & Marco for your kindness and compassion in what has to be the worst aspect of the job, it was so deeply appreciated, Chris & Andy Wildman

Really great vet. Was able to get an appointment quickly and they were very helpful. Definitely recommend for exotics - their Leopard gecko care sheets are accurate and useful (relatively unusual for vets!) and staff were lovely, giving a few treatment options and explaining everything clearly.

I have always taken my parrots to this clinic, I wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else. I find the staff very friendly and caring. They make a fuss of your pets. I once had a timneh grey who sadly passed away at home. I had him for many years and Louise and team sent me a lovely card. They did a lot to help him through his illness. I now have another timneh grey and an African grey and I take them there regularly to have their claws trimmed. My African Grey had a small op a couple of years ago due to vitamin A deficiency, something quite common in those birds, but thanks to the treatment at this clinic and the advice given regarding diet, my bird has now completely recovered and is cheaky as ever! They have a great knowledge of birds, something I have found lacking in other veterinary surgeries. I can highly recommend this place, I have never been dissatisfied with their service!
