I’m a new dog owner this was my 1st visit. I got the impression nothing is too much at Medivet they were very professional. There was a delay because to previous pet required a longer consultation and the vet went all out make sure he hadn’t missed anything. This reassured me that if at any time my puppy required urgent care nothing is too much.

Caring, kind, thoughtful and supportive. Each of my 5 cats were treated as individuals (divas) in their own right.

Lovely team. Constantly going out of their way to help me and my cat with an ongoing condition. The vet even called on his day off and clearly loves his patients.

I want to share my painful experience with Vas, a vet whose error and “experience” led to my healthy dog's untimely death. My dog tragically contracted Necrotising Fasciitis (NF) over two months ago, a condition that manifested after a routine vaccination. The only possible source that caused this was the NEEDLE and CHEMICALS used in the vaccine. Vas failed to seek consent, disclose vaccine details, or warn of potential side effects. Only later did I discover they used DHPPi instead of DHP, without informing me that Medivets no longer administers DHP. During my dog's hospitalisation, evidence pointed to NF, yet the veterinary team became inexplicably “confused”, spreading misinformation. They essentially set the stage for his tragic demise. This practice seems to neglect severe cases, and I WON’T EVER RETURN. My cherished 4-year-old dog, a vital family member with the ability to detect hypoglycemia in diabetics, and who could sense when someone was unwell, had his promising future abruptly ended. No pet owner should go through such a heart-wrenching ordeal. Medivets failed him by delaying necessary surgery, treating him as a mere test subject. Medivets, the profound grief from losing my cherished companion at your hands has led me to reconsider the worth of my own life.

Nothing but good to say, Vas is a brilliant vet who is very compassionate and caring and has my pets best interests at heart. He dealt with my feisty cat very well and didn’t make me feel stressed like previous vets i’ve been to!

I regretfully express deep dissatisfaction with the care and service provided by the Ickenham practice. Here's a summary of our distressing journey: Initial Visit Concerns: From our first interaction, red flags were apparent. The vet neither greeted our pet nor seemed focused on her well-being. Instead, there was an almost immediate suggestion for neutering, which felt more like an upsell than genuine care. Holiday Disappointment: During the New Year holidays of 2022, when one dog was facing urination issues, our other pet developed ear discomfort. We were disheartened when the stand-in vet refused to examine her ear, citing the lack of an appointment. Such indifference, especially during a festive season, was deeply concerning. Follow-Up Frustrations: Our return the following week bore little improvement. The usual vet not only avoided addressing our prior concerns but further exacerbated them by making excuses. A refusal to acknowledge the oversight, combined with a seeming indifference to our decision to change practices, highlighted a stark contrast to the care we expected. Further Medical Issues: When one dog's condition deteriorated, the vet's inability to manage the situation and prescribe effective medication led us to seek another practice (My Vet 24-7). Their immediate attention and successful treatment reaffirmed our decision to switch. Healthcare Plan Discrepancy: Despite these grievances, I find myself pursued for an outstanding balance related to a healthcare plan. While I've formally raised concerns, the subsequent investigations have sadly been subpar. It seems financial matters overshadow genuine care and communication at this practice. In conclusion, I deeply wish our experiences were different. A pet's well-being should always be paramount, and effective communication is key to any service. Unfortunately, based on our experiences, this practice fell short on both counts.

My experience with the Medivet Ickenham practice has been less than satisfactory, and I believe potential clients deserve an honest recount. First Impression: Our initial visit left us on edge. Instead of a warm greeting for our pet and addressing her needs, there seemed to be a quick push towards additional services like neutering. Holiday Concerns: Over the New Year 2022 period, we visited the clinic due to an issue with one of our dogs. When a separate concern arose with our other dog, it was brushed aside because we hadn’t scheduled an appointment for that particular issue. This felt like a cold response, especially during a time when pet owners seek assurance and care. Follow-Up Visit: The narrative didn’t improve on our next visit. Our primary vet, instead of offering understanding or a simple apology for the oversight, came across as dismissive, further shaking our trust. Treatment Efficacy: The medications prescribed initially weren’t effective. It was only after visiting another clinic, My Vet 24-7, that we received the care and effective treatment our pet desperately needed. Billing Issues: We’re now navigating through some billing complications related to our healthcare plan. While I understand financial protocols, the emphasis placed on this—rather than addressing our key concerns about our pet's wellbeing—feels misplaced. To sum it up, as pet owners, all we seek is genuine care for our furry family members and open communication. Unfortunately, our experience with Medivet Ickenham didn't hit the mark.
