Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse

I’ve been working at the Leigh-on-Sea London Road practice for just over five years. Before that, I worked in Essex for several busy small animal branches and an animal hospital. I originally qualified in 2013 and have worked in practice for over 15 years. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing. I have two dogs called Bobby and Stanley, a horse called Kyra and a tortoise called Hetty. When I’m not at work, I enjoy riding my horse, walking my dogs and spending time with my friends and family.

As Head Nurse, I’ve been a member of the team for over seven years after working for a small independent practice for 16 years. I qualified in 2002 and have learnt a lot during my 24 years of experience. I have four dogs, Granny, Howard, Flower and Peewee (three of which are rescues), a cat called Eugene and two bearded dragons. I’m a two-time world powerlifting champion and I hold the current British record in squats.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I started as a part-time Client Care Assistant in 2015 before becoming a Patient Care Assistant and then subsequently starting my veterinary nursing studies. I previously studied Biology at university and volunteered at a cattery and wildlife hospital. I have two cats called Misty and Honey and would love to own a dog. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, playing tennis, rock climbing and other outdoorsy activities.

I initially became a Patient Care Assistant with Medivet in December 2016 and I’ve now completed my second year as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I’m finding the course incredibly interesting and I look forward to qualifying. Outside of work, I enjoy going to yoga and socialising with friends and family. I also have two cats and two rabbits who take up a lot of my time.

I've been a veterinary nurse for nine years and I enjoy all aspects of the job. I especially love nursing cats and rabbits. I love spending time outside during nice weather and enjoying barbecues with my friends. I have also recently started running and kitesurfing.
