I’ve been working at the Leigh-on-Sea London Road practice for just over five years. Before that, I worked in Essex for several busy small animal branches and an animal hospital. I originally qualified in 2013 and have worked in practice for over 15 years. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing. I have two dogs called Bobby and Stanley, a horse called Kyra and a tortoise called Hetty. When I’m not at work, I enjoy riding my horse, walking my dogs and spending time with my friends and family.

As Head Nurse, I’ve been a member of the team for over seven years after working for a small independent practice for 16 years. I qualified in 2002 and have learnt a lot during my 24 years of experience. I have four dogs, Granny, Howard, Flower and Peewee (three of which are rescues), a cat called Eugene and two bearded dragons. I’m a two-time world powerlifting champion and I hold the current British record in squats.

Patient Care Assistant

I have been a Patient Care Assistant since April 2018 and began my training to become a veterinary nurse in September. In the past, I achieved a degree in Zoology with Animal Behaviour and have volunteered at a zoo, with Cats Protection and with sea turtles in Mexico. I’m particularly interested in animal behaviours and rehabilitation. I have two cats: a Persian called Dolly as a Birman called Moses. I enjoy reading, travelling and exploring new places.

I started as a part-time Client Care Assistant in 2015 before becoming a Patient Care Assistant and then subsequently starting my veterinary nursing studies. I previously studied Biology at university and volunteered at a cattery and wildlife hospital. I have two cats called Misty and Honey and would love to own a dog. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, playing tennis, rock climbing and other outdoorsy activities.

I initially became a Patient Care Assistant with Medivet in December 2016 and I’ve now completed my second year as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I’m finding the course incredibly interesting and I look forward to qualifying. Outside of work, I enjoy going to yoga and socialising with friends and family. I also have two cats and two rabbits who take up a lot of my time.

Amazing staff and vet Charlotte was fantastic. We were kept up to date with what was going on with our little gecko, even had follow up call to check in on him.

It’s obvious the vets genuinely love animals; this was my elderly dog’s first visit here (although other household pets are at this practice), and as I was filling out paperwork before his annual check-up and shots, I realised that the person crouched down and fussing him was the vet making friends before his appt. She was very thorough in her exam but gentle and patient with it, and despite the never-fun intra-nasal kennel cough vaccine (he doesn’t notice shots where he’s so big), he was still totally in love with her. He’s a great judge of character, and that he has warmed to her so fast is a sign that she’s not just a very good vet, but makes the animals feel safe too. My only suggestion would be to invest in a thermal microchip reader to give a fast accurate temperature reading for those animals with them, to avoid the unpleasant rectal thermometer - never easy with a reluctant large-breed dog.

The service has been absolutely first class from booking in at Reception, to receiving advice and moving forward with the health care for my Chihuahua. We saw Nuno, the head vet, what absolutely amazing care and advice he has given us for our little lady. We were extremely anxious about the treatment that is needed, however Nuno has put our minds completely at rest, we can’t thank him enough for the level of care shown. Many thanks Nuno and team x

Great service expert advises. DR Biddle certainly knows her job well. Her attitude and professional advise was spot on. I felt the practise certainly benefits from her expert knowledge. They're very lucky to have her as there surgeon. She considers people's feelings which is very important.
