Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2012 from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and moved to England in 2012. I’m now studying towards my Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice. I’ve worked for Medivet since 2014, seeing this little branch grow into a full-fledged practice, seeing both the more traditional and exotic pets. At home I have two dogs called Sita and Rufus, two guinea pigs called Athos and Porthos and a turtle called Sebastian. In my free time I enjoy completing triathlons and work with model trains.

I completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Merrist Wood and have a FdSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Kingston University. I also completed some conservation work in South Africa during my studies. I’ve been in practice since July 2017, beginning as a mobile team member. I’ve now been a permanent member at Lower Earley since July 2019. I have three rescue dogs, all crossbreeds; Barney, Talia and Amber. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends.

Since finishing my degree in veterinary nursing in 2015 I’ve worked in a number of different practices, including referral and emergency care. I’m particularly interested in anaesthesia and training our student nurses. I’ve now been working at Medivet since December 2017. At home I have a working cocker spaniel called Ozzy. As with all good veterinary pets Ozzy creates his fair share of chaos, even though he is 11 years old now. Outside of work I love long country walks with my dog and relaxing with my friends and family.

I finished my A-levels in 2017, after which I volunteered for a music charity in Uganda and became involved with cat and dog rescue. I’ve been working for Medivet since 2018 and began as a Patient Care Assistant before starting my studies as a student nurse in September 2019. I have two cocker spaniel brothers called Ronnie and Jack. In my spare time I play the trombone and love looking after my dogs.

So kind and caring to us and our pet, gave us clear advice and helped us understand what was wrong with our pet without being at all patronising. Is a little more expensive than other vets so not affordable for everyone but service impeccable

Robert at Earley Medivet saw our puppy immediately after listening to our concerns. Our dog was quite poorly and Robert took our concerns seriously. He Kept us informed every step of the way and things were explained in a way we could understand. Fantastic friendly service. Thank you.

Robert has been fantastic with my dog Molly, who throughout the pandemic had been unable to get an appointment, with previous vets, for a skin issue, as it wasnt deemed urgent. Since that time, Molly also started to develop arthritic problems with her back legs. On moving vets to the Medivets practice, on both medical fronts, Robert and his coĺleagues took immediate and highly effective action to remedy both conditions, and Molly is now like the dog we knew before the onset of her medical problems. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top class vets.

Excellent vets..over the Covid period had two serious problems with my dog, which previous vet couldnt deal with due to it not being deemed an emergency I moved to Medivet and the team there, put in place a treatment plan , that was highly effective in sorting the medical issues and now my dog is back to her old self..would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new vets

My cat was very ill, Robert treated her symptoms, was very knowledgable, caring and kind at a most upsetting time. Thankfully she is well and still here, unlike another practice diagnosis where I would have lost her! We now have Medivet pet plan and due her 2nd yearly check-up! Thank you to a caring team, Merry Christmas!

Barney my miniature sausage dog is always very stressed going to the vets but Robert is brilliant, he understands Barney’s temperament and deals with him very calmly and expertly. I feel very supported by Medivets.
