Robert Wienesen

Veterinary Surgeon

Robert Wienesen

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2012 from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and moved to England in 2012. I’m now studying towards my Certificate in Exotic Animal Practice. I’ve worked for Medivet since 2014, seeing this little branch grow into a full-fledged practice, seeing both the more traditional and exotic pets. At home I have two dogs called Sita and Rufus, two guinea pigs called Athos and Porthos and a turtle called Sebastian. In my free time I enjoy completing triathlons and work with model trains.

I studied veterinary medicine in Poland and graduated in 2018. Since then I’ve done two internships in Italy and Portugal and later moved to England to practice. I’ve been working for Medivet since the end of 2018 and I’m mobile between branches in the Reading area. At home I have two dogs, Misiek and Daisy and two cats, Franek and Mapecik. Outside of work I like swing dancing and roller blading.

Hannah Henvest

Head Veterinary Nurse

Since finishing my degree in veterinary nursing in 2015 I’ve worked in a number of different practices, including referral and emergency care. I’m particularly interested in anaesthesia and training our student nurses. I’ve now been working at Medivet since December 2017. At home I have a working cocker spaniel called Ozzy. As with all good veterinary pets Ozzy creates his fair share of chaos, even though he is 11 years old now. Outside of work I love long country walks with my dog and relaxing with my friends and family.

I regularly volunteered for various animal charities during college and I hope to start my veterinary nursing diploma in 2020. I’ve been working for Medivet since December 2018. I have two dogs, Frazzle and Trip, two cats, Louis and Button, a hamster called Charlie and an African pygmy hedgehog called Holly. Outside of work I’m studying foreign languages and love to go running.

I graduated in 2018 with a degree in Conservation Biology and went on to work with bears in Italy, before starting my studies to become a veterinary nurse. I started working for Medivet in August 2019 as a Patient Care Assistant. Outside of work I have a working cocker spaniel called Findlay who is turning 10 this year. I love taking long walks in the outdoors, keeping fit and cooking.

I completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Merrist Wood and have a FdSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Kingston University. I also completed some conservation work in South Africa during my studies. I’ve been in practice since July 2017, beginning as a mobile team member. I’ve now been a permanent member at Lower Earley since July 2019. I have three rescue dogs, all crossbreeds; Barney, Talia and Amber. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends.

I finished my A-levels in 2017, after which I volunteered for a music charity in Uganda and became involved with cat and dog rescue. I’ve been working for Medivet since 2018 and began as a Patient Care Assistant before starting my studies as a student nurse in September 2019. I have two cocker spaniel brothers called Ronnie and Jack. In my spare time I play the trombone and love looking after my dogs.

Our poor tortoise was attacked in the summer. Very few vets in the area knew how to help her. Robert was exceptional from the initial assessment, the two operations and the after care. Fortunately she has been signed off in time for Christmas. The whole team was friendly, professional and always helpful. We can’t thank you enough for what you have done for her.

Robert and the team have been so caring the last year or so as we've dealt with our much-loved Beagle, Jimmy. Yesterday, Robert supported us through the moment every dog owner dreads, helping Jim to pass over the Rainbow Bridge with love and dignity on a lovely warm blanket. It was obviously so tough for us as owners, but strangely beautiful too, to help Jim pass aged 16.5 so peacefully with a full belly and in his own home - Robert showed such care and consideration not just to Jim, but to us as a family too. It was lovely to feel the whole practice felt our pain at the loss of our beautiful golden oldie. Thank you to everyone at Earley Medivet 💙
