Our Exotic Pet Service
Robert our lead vet holds a GPCertExAP (general practitioner certificate Exotic Animal Practice) and is studying towards a CertAVP (advance practitioner status with the RCVS). We have a separate ward for small 'exotic' pets, including reptiles, birds, and fish of all types.

I took my two cats for a check up. One of my cats was in a bit of a state, as was an outdoor cat,(not anymore as keeping her inside). Vet checked her over. Made me feel relieved and relaxed as I was concerned. Everything was explained clearly, and did not feel judged at all!

They could do some refurb and refresh , its so dirty and no air condition in waiting room , new lady in reception she doesn' t know anything i asked for, i have asked for pain relief for my dog , she told me that she call me back , after 8 hours still no call from Medivet, however Robert and rest of new vets are lovley .

Great practice, lovely staff and very good monthly care subscription which includes a lot of the necessary care costs such as vaccinations, flea and worming and regular health checks.

I saw Robert about my pet python Geralt and he was attentive, focused, listened to our concerns and queries, and completely answered everything we wanted to know, and treated our little girl with compassion and humour. I was referred by a previous staff member and a friend, and I am glad to see that it was an excellent decision. So happy to see people who know how to treat reptiles well, especially since they are such an underappreciated type of pet in general. Completely happy.

After kept waiting for 45 minutes, the nurse came out and said that although I’d booked a 6 month check and I put in the note, needing boosters, she was unable to actually do this because a vet needs to do them. Fair enough but why in hell did the receptionist not tell me, my dogs were extremely distressed by this point, with other dogs and pets and people coming, 1 poor man had to endure my dogs barking at him as they had had enough. This could have easily been resolved as soon as we had got there, not after 45 mins thinking I was going to be seen. I had to come across town is rush hour traffic because the convenient local branch that is easier to get to has closed.

I had extremely disappointing experiences during my visit and afterward. The staff encountered were notably aloof and didn't convey any warmth or enthusiasm for pets. The condition of the facilities was far from ideal, as they appeared messy and unclean. Moreover, the services advertised on their website were not delivered as promised, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, the communication from the establishment left much to be desired, and it was consistently subpar.

I have been with this practice for about 15 years and have never found fault. All the vets really care about my pet no matter how wild they can be! Very knowledgeable, easy to get appts. I have always found very prompt service with claims can’t complain at all. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
