Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I joined the practice as lead vet in May 2019, having worked locally since 2014. I qualified in 2010 from the Royal Veterinary College and have been working in general practice since. I have a special interest in surgery, dermatology and geriatric pet health care, and have completed several courses to further my skills and expertise in these areas. I also have a Zoology degree from Durham University and initially worked for the BBC making science documentaries before starting my vet degree. Outside of work, I'm married with two young children. When I'm not running around after the kids or the dog, I enjoy playing and watching rugby. I also have a jack russell called Maggie who was rescued as a puppy.

I've been at the practice since January 2019 and love my job. I love that everyday is different and enjoy the challenges. At home I have two cats called Elsa & Oreo. I've had various animals since a little girl and have always felt a connection with them.

I was born and raised in Bristol before moving to Cambridge in 2014. I've worked at Medivet since September 2018. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time learning nursing. I've worked with animals since I was 18 in various different roles, and have a degree in Animal Biology from Nottingham Trent University. At home I have two cats. One is my lazy, old boy - Sam, who is 16. The other is my crazy noise maker - Chloe, she is 5.

I've been with the practice for several years but have been in the profession for over 30 years. I have many years experience with neonates, on many occasions keeping one or more. Outside of work I'm married with one daughter. I have too many pets to mention, but at the moment have three dogs and one cat.

Fantastic practice. I followed Tina Davy to Melbourn Vets with my dog after she left the Whittlesford Practice some years ago. I've always felt very confident with how he's been managed and cared for by Tina - particularly as he has a long list of ongoing health issues. I have never been pushed in to any unnecessary treatments or tests and customer care at this practice is second to none.

I was disappointed when this practice was taken over, having transferred to this one because it was privately owned. However, the service and support remains excellent. The staff are helpful, supportive and kind. The vets take the time to discuss my dogs' needs, outline the different options available to me and provide practical advice. Thank you!

My dog is very large and very nervous of the vet . She’s allowed to go in threw the back to avoid the cats in reception and is professionally given her injection while growling threw her muzzle 😬

Amazing experience here the past few days. I had to take my senior dog here and he needed a lot of teeth removing. There was no judgement although I felt terrible and did not know how bad his teeth where. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Follow up phone calls and always a friendly face. I even thought I had lost my wedding ring and staff searched high and low for me. Wonderful place. Lovely to me and my dog. Brilliant!!
