Very warm, welcoming and a lot of care over my dog. Changed vets due to having the opposite treatment. Would 100% recommend, appointment was on time and a lot of lovely people work there

Not the best experience. Took my two dogs for their 6 month check ups. My Rhodesian ridgeback showed signs of an ear infection so had swabs sent off to the lab. It came back as a pseudomonas infection. I was advised we needed to act quickly and the only option was lateral wall resection surgery costing £2,000. This was on 12/03/24. I went to a different vets for a second opinion after obtaining the lab results. They advised her ear didn’t need surgery and they would treat it. Provided me with drops and a cleaner. Today she went for a check up at the new vets and has had the all clear. I cannot believe I was about to pay £2,000 for an operation I was told won’t even clear the infection just make it easier to treat. Putting my dog through surgery she didn’t need when two weeks later she is in the clear and now actually enjoys visiting the vets. Safe to say I won’t be using Medivet oakengates again.

Today, my son Konichiwa underwent orthopedic surgery on his gum bone and lower lip at Medivet Oakengates. The surgery helped him regain his handsome face, and it should be easier for him to eat. Thank you very much to Dr. Duncan Senior, Konichiwa's attending doctor. Thank you for his carefulness towards animals, thank you for his willingness to patiently answer our questions, thank you for helping us with our language deficiencies, and thank you for his professionalism, which makes Konichiwa look like a new man and restore health. I am also very grateful to every nurse who has taken care of Konichiwa at Medivet Oakengates and helped make appointments. You are really gentle and professional. I feel relieved to have Konichiwa in your hands. Thank you all 🫰🏻💜

We had a horrible experience at the vets a few weeks ago and I was dreading the next visit so I changed to Oakengates Medivet and what a difference! The receptionist was lovely and Duncan the vet was brilliant. Our dog lay on her back so that he could tickle her tummy while he trimmed her nails !!!! Thank you so much 😊

My dog suffers with terrible anxiety when visiting the vet. The staff are always patient and kind and yesterday a nurse even brought toys into the consultation room, to help distract her, which really did help. They offer individual care tailored to your pets needs.

Always fantastic and caring treatment for Tilly. As she is aging and having more needs nothing is too much trouble when we come in. The reception staff along with Duncan are so welcoming and we feel so valued and looked after. Tilly comes in happy as anything. Tail wagging as she feels happy and gets so much fuss with every visit. Thank you. I recommend you to everyone.

Unfortunately we had the worst experiences with them. Our beloved Dalmatian Purdy was misdiagnosed and treated against lungworm for 2 weeks by Alex Sukueva but it turned out to be a serious heart problem and she didn’t hear it, didn’t take blood tests, nothing, only prescribed loads of medicine which cost us a lot of money and lost time. One night Purdy’s health suddenly deteriorated and we rushed there early morning. There was another vet who examined her properly and all was not good at all - he tried to save her but failed…it was too late. We lost Purdy…Big shock to the whole family, we didn’t see it coming we believed she had lungworm. I am writing this for the sake of other pets who might be misdiagnosed and mistreated like our dog there. I would not recommend them, no💔
