I’ve been the lead vet here since August 2017. I graduated from Lisbon Technical University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, then completed an internship in the Surgery Department of Hannover University's School of Veterinary Medicine before starting to work in practice in the UK. Over the years I’ve developed an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and in December 2016, obtained the BSAVA's Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I’m passionate about research into veterinary medicine and surgery and strive to offer the best advice and care available to my patients. Outside of work, I live in Lincolnshire with my wife, who is also a veterinary surgeon, and my two daughters.

I have a very nervous and over protective German Shepherd and she is a nightmare on her lead but Pedro is brilliant with her, he takes the lead from me and takes her into a separate room and she's as good as gold for him and the nurses. They are the only vets I have taken her to that actually listened to me about taking her away from me while they treat her and I wouldn't take her or my 4 cats anywhere else. Can't recommend the team at Bretton highly enough

We followed Pedro here with our cocker spaniel when he left Oakham vet hospital. He has been so good with Annie and gone out of his way to research her auto immune condition, even contacting the UK expert to discuss. Pedro is the best!

Amazing vets! Our poor boy Scratch was diagnosed with a tumour where he had to be sadly put to sleep. The vet was so lovely and comforting throughout the whole appointment. Today we received a beautiful handwritten condolences card, such a personal service. Nuvet also reunited us with our puss cat Poppy who had a 9 week adventure and was found and returned to us due to her microchip. Again the vets really looked after our girl and gave her the best treatment. Would highly recommend.

Where do i start.. firstly thank you to gabriel, sara and sue for all you help and support through an extremely difficult time for me. My poor kitten Harry was very poorly but the vets, nurses and receptionists were absolutely fantastic with him. Unfortunately my Harry didn't make it but I know how hard you guys and Harry himself fought. How fast acting, considerate and compassionate you all was is exactly the care i want for my animals. Once again thank you for making the hardest experience of my life that bit easier and for taking care of my Harry

First time visit yesterday and had an overall great experience with both reception and booking an appt and also with the vet who completely understood my concerns regarding our treasured pet! Now to wait for our dog's procedure to be done next week and feeling very at ease at this time regarding that happening. Thanks everyone for being so lovely. Price of consult and meds very good too.

All staff are friendly, prices are reasonable and we always feel in safe hands when visiting. Procedures that are not available elsewhere are in house and save no end of hassle with organising third parties. Continually impressed whenever I visit.
