I’ve been the lead vet here since August 2017. I graduated from Lisbon Technical University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, then completed an internship at Hannover University's School of Veterinary Medicine before starting to work in practice in the UK. Over the years I’ve developed an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and in December 2016, obtained the BSAVA's Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I’m passionate about research into veterinary medicine and surgery and strive to offer the best advice and care available to my patients. Outside of work, I live in Lincolnshire with my wife, who is also a veterinary surgeon, and my two daughters.

We have been using this vets for 8 years now with our cat and wouldnt go anywhere else. We just recently added a dog to the family and he had his first visit today and considering all the difficulties with the current pandemic it all went perfectly. Fab system in place and felt totally at ease. Excellent customer service as always 🐶🐱🙂

I can only leave the practice a 5 star review, if I could it would be 10 stars. The team at Nuvet (Medivet) Bretton are fantastic people and you always know your pet is in good hands. I recently had to take my dearest friend Missy to be seen as her back legs were troubling her. After an x-ray showed she had severe cruiciate disease, I kept her with me for a further 2 months until it was obvious that she was struggling I made the decision to have her put to sleep. She was nearly 12 years old and had been with the practice all her life. I want to say a very big thank you to Pedro and Begonia for the kindness they showed to Missy and me during the time she was being looked after at the practise. I also want to thank the reception team May & Gill. Also Gemma & Beth in fact everyone, sorry I can't remember all your names. You all do a really fantastic job and I wouldn't take an animal anywhere else. Well Done!

My friend Rona and I visited the Bretton practice for the first time this week. Bailey (Parsons Jack Russell) was due for his booster. He can be a bit iffy when he's being examined or injected and, at another practice, had attempted a bite or two. This was not the case at Bretton. The staff are EXCELLENT!! Their caring and professional manner communicated itself to Bailey and, apart from a bit of a grumble, he was fine. No stress, tail was up and he was his bouncy self. Thank you Medivet, Bretton.

My little girl was diagnosed with diabetes in Dec 2019 and of course I was devastated, but the help I have received from all the staff has been impeccable. A huge shout out to all the staff, especially Pedro who has and still is working very very hard to get my little one on track, and a special thank you to Lauren, who looks after my little girl every time she has to spend time there. No seriously everyone there are very professional, and work tirelessly to ensure all our loved ones are looked after. Definitely 5 star service.

I have a very nervous and over protective German Shepherd and she is a nightmare on her lead but Pedro is brilliant with her, he takes the lead from me and takes her into a separate room and she's as good as gold for him and the nurses. They are the only vets I have taken her to that actually listened to me about taking her away from me while they treat her and I wouldn't take her or my 4 cats anywhere else. Can't recommend the team at Bretton highly enough
