Symptom Checker

If you’re not sure whether your pet needs to see a vet, our quick and easy Symptom Checker can help. Answer a few simple questions about the signs of illness your pet is displaying and the checker will advise whether a trip to the vet is necessary and how urgently that specialist care should be given.

I decided aged five that I wanted to be a vet and realised that ambition in 1999 graduating from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh. I then worked in one of the main hospitals in Reading before going on to set up, and run a branch surgery. I've since moved back to Hertfordshire, working the North London area. I now love working with the team at Medivet Radlett. I enjoy the new challenges and opportunity to work with wonderful pets and their owners. In my spare time, I bake, run and play golf.

18.50pm last Friday my dog suddenly started with head tremors, which was very alarming, and never experienced with any previous dogs I’ve owned. I rang the local medivet branch, which was due to close at 19.00pm. Anna the vet was amazingly supportive, and asked me to send her a video - by now it was out of hours. She confirmed the diagnosis and made an appointment to have my dog checked over the next day (Saturday) at the nearest branch. Went to the appointment and met a lovely vet who checked my Dog over and confirmed Anna’s diagnosis. Fortunately there has not been a reoccurrence of the head tremors, but the kind patience of both vets, and Anna’s out of hours support was extremely reassuring, and we can’t thank you enough x Click

I was recommended to call this practice as the vet had an interest in avian. The vet was absolutely amazing throughout, always calling me and updating. Unfortunately my little birdie could not be saved but I know that she had 100% attention and every chance given by this vet to survive. The staff slotted my birdie in at short notice which was very much appreciated and they were really fantastic too. Thank you to all at the practice...and all at a super busy time of the year too!!!

I cannot praise this practice highly enough. I was previously with a practice outside of Radlett but when I got a new puppy decided to go to medivet in Radlett for her injections as it was more convenient. I am SO glad that I did. It was apparent from the very first consultation with Natasha, that it is a fantastic practice. The vets are so knowledgeable and so very very caring of both their animal customers and their human ones. They have now treated my older dog for pancreatitis and then a malignant tumour. They have done so with the utmost skill, care and kindness. Reception staff, nurses and vets are all wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and I know that my dogs are in fantastic hands. An added advantage is that their associated branch in Watford is open 24 hours a day for emergencies. What a wonderful practice. I am so grateful to them.
