I graduated from Glasgow University in 1988 and after a spell in mixed and large animal practice, moved to Parkside in 1990 to be able to develop my surgical skills, in particular orthopaedics. I'm particularly interested in Orthopaedic Surgery and more recently in Laparoscopic Surgery. I was among the first vets in the UK to obtain a new qualification in the field (GPCert(Endo)). At home I have two sons and a staffordshire bull terrier cross jack russell, Ghill.

Before I joined the practice in February 2018 I worked in banking, hospitality and secondary education. While working full time at Mosslands School, I was a speaker, fundraiser and puppy walker for guide dogs. Being a puppy walker meant looking after, training and socialising puppies from seven weeks old. I love working in a veterinary environment and meeting our clients pets. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family.
